The apartment was perfectly located and had a small balcony with a great view to the mountains. Kitchen was very well equipped and the shower nice and hot. Light and bright. Pitsidia is a great base with lovely gorge walks, beaches and Roman sites nearby. Don’t miss the amazing folded rocks at Apopystra or the beautiful Red beach near Matala. We booked 3 nights and then stayed another 3. Fantastic value and great restaurants in Pitsidia.

Typical Greek village life with a few tourists.
Typical Greek village life with a few tourists. Just a few excellent tavernas, one bar and a few Greek cafes. Long may it stay this way, tourists that come here want traditional Greek, not the tourist type places.

This is probably one of the worst places to stay in the Festos / Matala area. The area is fine but the village is a tourist and expat place. Noisy. For self-catering, serious shopping needs to be done elsewhere. The only bakery in town is one of the worst I've been in, abysmal selection of bread and other stuff, and they have branches all over the area! As a plus, several places like Kommos, Festos, Matala etc. are easy to reach. Kommos beach, the nearest, is OK.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, a nice mix of holidaymakers and friendly locals. Good facilities, local car hire, mini market open late. Plenty of excellent but good value restaurants to choose from. Amazing scenery, only a short taxi ride from the livelier Matala if desired. Not a football shirt in sight and would definitely go back!
Bella Vita Style is a well refurbished ancient house with a lot of charm in the heart of the little town of Pitsidia.
Former elegant elements of balconies and ancient doors and windows are preserved.
In addition to this, Pitsidia is a very recommendable tourist-friendly town in deep Crete, very close to Kommos beach, with cultural centers and restaurants wich offer authentic tradiditional cretan cuisine at affordable prices in well refurbished houses as well.
Everything, but most of all the host, Eftihia, she made us feel like locals, like Pitsidianoi! She was super friendly, funny, helpful, just wonderful!
The rooftop balcony was amazing and the house is very comfortable with interesting traditional architecture.
Location is also great as you are a few steps away from the village square and there is easy access by car to komos and matala beach. Would definitely come back here
Very comfortable stay here the staff sure go out of their way to make you feel comfortable within the hotel. It’s also very nice to see two pillows provided instead of just one in addition to a mosquito net. Very good location not too busy and not too quiet. The hotel is also doing an amazing job to make everyone feel safe in the pandemic. Lots of small touches make this hotel brilliant too.
Quiet location (except some roosters announcing break of dawn). You can reach taverns and shops in Pitsidia by a short walk. To get to Kommos Beach, it will take you about a 30min walk. Pitsidia is the ideal spot if you want to explore Matala, Red Beach, Agiofarange, Martsala or Vathi-Beach.
The room was clean and made up daily and there is a small kitchen next by.
Beautiful property located just outside of Matala. Pitsidia is a great little town with a bit of peace and quiet outside of the tourist areas. Room was spacious enough for our family of 3, good A/C, nice small balcony, everything we needed for a nice stay. Pool was also great after a long day walking around. Owner Maria was very nice!
Three lovely apartments shared by 11 family members, which worked perfectly. Charula was a perfect host - very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, a couple of minutes walk to the shops and restaurants of Pitsidia, and 25 minute walk to Komos beach.
Tucked away in Pitsidia, close to Matala Beach, with every facility you could need. Pharmacy, supermarket, coffee shops, bakery, taverns, restaurants and more. The house was very clean and had a lovely balcony with a view
We will be back in 2022!!
The place is big enough for 4 people.
Giannis and his wife are very kind and helpful.
Great for families with small children.
Pitsidia has everything you need: restaurants, market, post and ATM.
Everything was great! Thank you Giannis
Aphrodite and Sofia were amazing and very nice! Always helpful. Flat always cleaned, Pitsidia is very calm and typical Cretan village which is close to all place around Matala Miris ect. I would definitely come back there. Enjoy !!
Everything was superb - style of hotel, check-in, very friendly manager, room was very stylish, Wifi all bars, cozy balcony, kitchen where we could have a breakfast, free parking. For sure the place to rent when going to Matalas
Great quiet location in the charming village of Pitsidia, close enough to the square for restaurants
Beautifully furnished and we'll maintained.
Hosts always on hand to respond to any queries.
Beautiful rooms surrounded by plants. A small fully equipped kitchen was shared between rooms.
Thank you Ms Sofia, when in Pitsidia will definitely stay chez-vous again!
