Porto Mani Suites, hotel in Porto Kagio

Porto Mani Suites, a complex of traditional buildings, is beautifully located in a landscape that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, near the seaside village Kyparissos, in Mani.

Porto Mani Suites is remotely situated in Kyparissos, а small seasidе villаge in sоuth Mani, about 10 km south of Gerolimеnas. It has а long histоry dating back tο Romаn times whеn the plaсe was cаllеd Kenipоlis (Кainipοlis) and some ruins оf wаlls and an аnciеnt sanсtuarу cаn still be seеn near the villagе. Kyparissos is built аrоund twο small baуs, one is а fishing pоrt and thе οther is a pebblеd beаch. Guests can safely walk to a nearby beach, about 150 meters away on a path. There are no facilities on the beach. The hotel is in good condition and the hosts provide a caring family atmosphere with a buffet breakfast served on the upper terrace. We enjoyed a fresh fish dinner expertly prepared by the chef. I recommend a nearby Italian restaurant called Matapan as another convenient dinner spot. If you crave quiet and privacy, this is an ideal spot to get away from it all. Good for couples! Source: https://www.feelgreece.com/en/kyparissos-mani © FeelGreece.com

Akrotainaritis, hotel in Porto Kagio

Centrally located in the coastal village of Gerolimenas, the stone-built Akrotainaritis is just 33 feet from the beach.

The location was excellent and the hotel had lounges and umbrellas you could use at the water. They also provided beach towels. The breakfast was excellent and best of all were the dinners we ate at their restaurant.

The tower is clean and comfortable. We had dinner on the balcony, cooked by our hosts mother. It was delicious. The family was very friendly and nice. There is a hidden balcony up the top that was also a lovely place to sit and have a cuppa.

Guesthouse Laoula, hotel in Porto Kagio

Guesthouse Laoula offers accommodations in Gerolimenas, a 4-minute walk from Gerolimenas Beach and 13 miles from Caves of Diros. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free Wifi.

This was an incredibly beautiful guest house located on the bay in Gerolimenas. The scenery from the room balcony and the stone patio with beach furniture was spectacular. We had hoped to use the paddleboards and kayak but it was too windy for the paddleboards and we didn't see the kayak mentioned in the listing. The host was friendly and helpful. She kindly offered us a room upgrade as she has a free balcony room available. She and her little dogs were delightful. The room was well-styled and impeccably clean. The breakfast was huge with homemade cakes and jams. There was an egg dish each day plus yogurt, cereal, grapes, and hardboiled eggs available on the sideboard. A superior breakfast!

This was a beautiful hotel in a spectacular setting.

This was a beautiful hotel in a spectacular setting. The owner was super friendly and helpful and gave us a tour of the bay which was wonderful. There were three tavernas to choose from on the beach very close to the hotel. The delicious breakfast was served on our balcony from which we had a direct view of the beach. The room was very comfortable and not too hot at night and we slept very well as the area is so quiet. We’d thoroughly recommend this hotel and the surrounding area and wished we had stayed longer!

Porto Kayio for me was better from the top of the hill looking down than actually being there! We only stayed one night which was long enough! There are more beautiful places not that far away from Porto Kagio I would recommend more! There were only two tavernas to choose from and the one had a very pushy miserable lady desperate for your custom... luckily we had read the reviews and went to the other one! I’ll leave that for your opinion when you arrive!

Porto Kayio is almost at the most southern point of Greece.

Porto Kayio is almost at the most southern point of Greece. The landscape is very dry, desolate and rocky. The tiny village stretches itself along the bay and has traditionally built fortified houses. It is like an oasis with olive & oleander trees and bougainville for shade. Along the narrow beach are parasols and beachbeds belonging to the restaurants. Enough opportunity to eat fresh fishbor fresh fruit. Overlooking the bay is a modern cafe bar that serves coffee and cocktails and other alcoholic drinks. All activity in the village is around the beach life, watching sail and fishing boats and the occasional yacht coming in. The village is very peaceful, unspoiled by mass tourism. If you are into sunbathing, swimming, relaxing, eating & drinking and finding peace then this is the place to be.

Porto Kayio is a concealed bay in Mani which I strongly recommend: the landscape is great, beautiful, and the sea and quietness is something I was looking for and Porto Kayio did not disappointed me. There are a few restaurants near the beach which are good. There are no shops, though, in case you have to buy food regularly you will have to drive a few kilometers on a winding road or else wait for the lorry that brings basics to the locals form food to furniture. Easy car park.
