The best thing about this property are the staff who are extremely warm and hospitable, and the location. It is next to the beach (I could hear the ocean from my balcony) and a bus stop which makes access to Heraklion extremely convenient. The room I booked was comfortable, clean, and had plenty of storage. I was supposed to stay for 5 nights and would have been happy to do so, but was offered a complimentary upgrade to the nearby Hotel Malena (part of Omilos Hotels).

The food was very good. Every day every meal had something different and tasty. The personnel is very efficient.
The beach is fine, and support for the beach goers was also good, like showers, changing cabins, chairs and towels.
If one's going on a tour for the day, the staff offer a lunch box, and maybe even some early breakfast.
Late check out is also very friendly.

For me it was the ideal location to use as a base to explore the area but you will need a car. If you enjoy walking then the mountains and beaches of the north coast are relatively nearby to this little village.
