I highly recommend Aphrodite of Thassos. The room was very beautifully designed, spacious, comfortable, and extremely clean. There was a beautiful balcony which offered an amazing seaview. It is located on a hill, which makes it very quiet and peaceful, but it is also close to the beach.
The property has free parking places.
The host was very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

The location is excellent, exactly on the Skala Maries Beach and in less than a minute you are in the sea. Had a lovely balcony with beach front view and perfect for enjoying the meals and the beautiful sunrises, sunsets and some quiet time. Also the Tavernas, supermarket and bakery are near the accommodation (1min).
Bonus 2 extra beaches within walking distance (less than 5-10 min).
Cleanliness is 10+ as the host is cleaning the property every day and we daily had fresh towels and clean sheets while the room was spotless.
Amazing esthetics: The double room is gorgeous, recently renovated, decorated with taste and very cozy for a couple.
Great Facilities: room very well equipped and you have everything you need - cutlery, dishes, coffee machine, sanitary products, AC, TV, fridge.
Hosts: Roula and Socrates make you feel you are staying with friends, they are very warm and helpful with everything you need. We were really blessed with Greek hospitality during our stay.

Not so great for me, I was expecting at something else. Everything was quite expensive. For example, other friends went in Lefkada where all the beaches are really beautiful and nice, and the prices were almost the same as here. But here, I was not so impressed. I had the same locations in my country but more cheaper.

In Thassos it is essential to travel by car.
In Thassos it is essential to travel by car. Skala Marion is on the South-Western coast, therefore you'll admire incredible sunsets. It is a village, not a town, and has a quiet atmosphere, not an effervescent vibe. There are some little shops and quite a few taverns, where you can eat fresh local food (especially fish and seafood) but also regular restaurant dishes, at a fair price. People are friendly, the three beaches (Sunset, Skala Maries and Atspas) are sandy and children-friendly, the water is clear.

Hosts are wonderful and willing to help at any time. The balcony has beautiful see view and sunset scenery is amazing. Breakfast is served at nice terrace , and extra cup of coffee is not a problem. Breakfast is served, and is not self service. During first half of september, there was plenty of parking area around the apartments, so parking was not an issue at any time. Center of the village is 3min walk away with great restaurants with good see food. Another 3 minutes, and you reach city main beach. Great value for money.

Skala Marion beach is one of the best beaches on Thassos...
Skala Marion beach is one of the best beaches on Thassos island. Sandy beach with shallow, crystal clear and very warm water. Cozy bay. Free sun beds if you order a few drinks and food :) Unfortunately, there is no toilet on the beach and you have to climb lots of stairs to the cafe/bar to go to the toilet. There is a parking space for cars. Around Skala Marion beach, there are a few cafes and restaurants, supermarkets etc but all in all, it's a small place.

For us it was a great location, we walked in the evening to skala marion center for dinner, a 5 min relaxing walk. Also, there is a beach nearby. The apartment is nicely equipped with everything you might need. All seem to be configured really efficiently, we loved our small kitchen and our rooms. Will be back for sure.
