We had a fantastic weekend here, the staff made us feel at home right away, doing everything to accommodate our needs, and Georgia is a lovely character, always around with a smile and warm humor while working with everything! The location is lovely and quiet and has a good atmosphere, everything was nice and clean. They prepare local food, using fresh and local quality products. We had all our meals here, and enjoyed everything! Make sure to try the pomegranate juice for breakfast! It is a bit remote so it's recommended to have a car. This is a place we would like to visit again!

The best thing about this property are the staff who are extremely warm and hospitable, and the location. It is next to the beach (I could hear the ocean from my balcony) and a bus stop which makes access to Heraklion extremely convenient. The room I booked was comfortable, clean, and had plenty of storage. I was supposed to stay for 5 nights and would have been happy to do so, but was offered a complimentary upgrade to the nearby Hotel Malena (part of Omilos Hotels).
Castro Hotel lies in the middle of Amoudara, only 984 feet from the famous sandy beach. It features an outdoor pool with pool-side bar and plenty of sun-bathing space.

We loved staying at Castro Hotel. It was close to the airport, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We will stay there again on our way back to the airport.

The shower was so small it was hard to stand in. The shower curtain would stick to you the whole time you were trying to shower. The bed was hard as a rock. The pictures look much different than the actual resort. The food and lobby were great, but the rooms were pretty bad.

The food was very good. Every day every meal had something different and tasty. The personnel is very efficient.
The beach is fine, and support for the beach goers was also good, like showers, changing cabins, chairs and towels.
If one's going on a tour for the day, the staff offer a lunch box, and maybe even some early breakfast.
Late check out is also very friendly.

Amazing place for families wedding.. they cater for big or small weddings and even have their own little church on site for this they can cater for up to 1700 people.. or smaller. Fantastic for honeymooners. Just perfect.. Decoration is traditional but exceptionally clean. We had our own little terrace with a table and chairs. Full board is available. Although cheap this is really worth it. It has it's own little village to explore with quaint little shops actually on site. There are hills and steps to navigate.
