The staff was very helpful. The room was big and had an equipped kitchen and a table with 4 chairs. The parking was free in front of the property. The restaurant in the building, where we Also had breakfast, had a very nice atmosphere, the food was OK there. The shower was OK, strong water jet and warm. The breakfast was good. Since we don't eat meat, they served a portion of scrambled eggs, cheese, 1 croissant, 1 small white bread, a few slices of orange, apple and I little of pineapple, and some extra white bread. Butter, jam and honey were in individual portions. We ordered herbal tea instead of coffee, and they served it with lemon, that was nice. They offered me lactose free milk since I am lactose intollerant. I didn't use because I took tea. The veranda of the room was big and had a view of the sea.

A very comfortable and clean guesthouse. The room has a little kitchenette, with a fridge, sink and two induction burners. It would be a perfect place to stay for a while to tour the area. Our room had a balcony and it is a quick walk to restaurants and a market. The host speaks English.

The best apartment we have stayed for our two weeks holiday in Croatia (and we have stayed in 8 totally). Mountain and sea view, calm place, well equiped, beautifully decorated interior. You can get to the nearby beach on foot or you can go to the city beach on the other side of the bay by car.

We had a wonderful stay at the apartment! The hosts were exceptional. We arrived very late (at midnight) due to a heavy traffic jam, but.they we're still up and making sure everything is OK when we arrive.
The apartment is located very well, located in walking distance of the small town of Alano, yet still far enough so that we could rest well.
The only thing you have to pay attention to is to switch on the air conditioner in the afternoon/ early evening already to allow it to cool all the bedrooms as well in time for sleeping.
I can strongly recommend the apartment to any families or couples / group of friends, you will not be disappointed

Banici was beautiful and tranquil, off the busy beaten track closer to Dubrovnik yet only 40 mins drive and served well by public transport. The olive trees are growing just outside your balcony window. You have beautiful views of the creamy coloured rocky mountains. You hear the crickets singing and at certain times of day the smell of pine trees and herbs lingers in the air and is an aromatic feast. We sat on the balcony of our apartment in the morning while it was in the shade sipping Turkish coffee and praying. The views and temperatures were lovely and the local people friendly and accommodating with surprisingly lots of English. The local beach only 500m away was lovely and accessible. There were so many beautiful beaches and little harbours to swim in. Ston, a local town dating from Renaissance times and linked with Dubrovnik is an absolute gem and should be visited. There are so many beaches to choose from but Prapratno and Trstenik on the Peljesac peninsula, are particularly deserving of a mention. But Banici was a great base from which to venture forth to all these other places in our rental car.
