My visit to Balatonfoldvar for the Balaton Sound music festival 2023 was a remarkable experience. A very beautiful village in Lake Balaton.
A very beautiful village in Lake Balaton. It is very easy to reach to this village by train from Budapest. There are so many traditional restaurants with delicious fish and Hungarian food. People are very kind and swimming and taking sunbath would be really enjoyable!

One of the best and friendliest cities on the southern shore...
One of the best and friendliest cities on the southern shore of the lake. Be sure to try out the famous Pub-Lik and Csigaház restaurants, eat some Hungarian scone ("lángos") and the ice-cream called "Mór" at the port, and pay the lookout tower a visit. Easily accessible by train (Balaton Express) or car (highway M7, one and a half hours from Budapest). The lake is accessible from almost the entire lenght of the shore, but there are two public beaches (one to the East, one to the West) with all the required facilities if you are willing to pay a small admission fee.

All necessary amenities were available. For such a good price at Balaton, a very good breakfast was the top of it all. Reception staff were helpful. The pool was nice and it is open until 9p.m. 5-10mins walk to the supermarket, train station. The hosts were super nice, friendly and they were really flexible with collecting the keys.
