Exceptionally clean and rather quiet. The staff is polite and very helpful, most of them are young and speak fluent English. The hotel is warm enough, bathrooms a bit warmer than rooms. You can choose from a variety of food at both breakfast and dinner. All the cooked food is warm and delicious. Three kinds of juice are available at breakfast, together with cold and warm milk, tea, water and a wide range of coffee. Both breakfast and dinner include several desserts.

Unfortunatly the roads are worse and worse in Hungary.
Unfortunatly the roads are worse and worse in Hungary. Gyula it’s beatiful, in the autumn you can make great photos. I’ve found very neat and cozy restsurants such as Varkonyi bistro, was always full with guests, the food was very tasty, serving 1st class. They have a cookie shop named The 100 years old cookie shop, but was under renovation who knows till when, that was bit sad, I always visit it.

Visited Gyula Aquapark for 2 days.
Visited Gyula Aquapark for 2 days. I can say that it was nice but seems like they try to charge you for everything:
* 1.5 EUR/person city tax;
* parking near Aquapark about 8 EUR/day Monday-Sunday.
Food & drinks pricy compared to similar Aquaparks (Szeget, Mako, Timisoara).
Long waiting time at restaurant queue (restaurants with no waiters or waitresses).
Very crowdy at the hot thermal water pools.

A great small town with fantastic spa and the second oldest cukraszda in Hungary but first in taste to money ratio.
Dobos torta and Chokolate Mousse is a must. But not together please...
Gyulai famous kolbasz and Bekes palinka finish it all.
Enjoy!
Last but not least the castle and the small picturesque streets close to Varfuerdo.
I keep on coming there as you could understand.

Food was delicious (both at the Spa, and in the city - Skorpio pizzeria).
Too bad the weather was cold (which is normal in January). We plan to come back in Summer to enjoy more ...

Almássy Kastély and the Castle were fantastic, in autumn the colours are beautiful in the beautiful parks. Százéves Cukrészda is a place to go, more than 100 years old cake shop with extraordinary cakes and hand made chocolate.
It was a very nice vacation and the staff did their best to make us feel good. The room was clean and it has a nice balcony. The food was excellent with a large variety of choices. There is also a nice wellness place where you can relax.
The hotel is located in the center of the city and it has a parking area underneath (reservation is necessary).
If you want to go to the Gyula thermal bath, the entrance is near the hotel (10 meters).
Excellent boutique hotel, very well situated, right in the heart of Gyula, within walking distance to all of the main attractions (including the waterpark). Very friendly staff, ready to help you with everything that you need during your stay. Great food, a lot of options both for breakfast and for dinner (we reserved the half-board meal plan), congratulations to the cook.
Very close to aquapalota and city center. Quite location. Parking inside the courtyard. 2 bathrooms. Enough toilet paper (rarely find an apartment with toilet paper). New scourer and dishwash liquid. New coffee package, enough sugar. Central heating. Everything looks like the pictures.
The host is very nice and super friendly. It is really easy to communicate with.
The location is superb, the apartment is located very close to the aquapark.
There is free parking on the street near the location.
The accommodation is suitable for a family having separate bedrooms.
Very nice new / modern clean appartments, good typical breakfast, very supportive staff. There is a wellness area attached which is a nice plus, but unfortunately had no time to try out. Location is great, close to the castle and the spa. Visiting Almásy Castle nearby is a must.
Csiga house is a jewel of a house. The owner was on site to greet me and could not have been nicer and accommodating. Csiga house is centrally located while it feels secluded due to its proximity to a lovely park. It is a lovely place to stay while visiting the city of Gyula.
Staff was very friendly, very good and delicious food, the cleanliness of the entire hotel was spot on and it was a quiet area.
Also, it's right across the street from the aqua park and the treatment pool areas.
Just perfect for relaxation. Will definitely come back again.
The apartment is very spacious, well equipped and clean. It also has a beautiful garden where you can sit, eat, make barbecue etc. The location is perfect, close to a parc and a few minutes walk from the wellness pools and the town centre.
We liked the apartment very much, very clean and quiet. A perfect fit for families, if you're looking for a decent and well valued relaxation place. It 2 minutes walk from the aqua park and the view is amazing.
Location was great, the room was very nice, light and spacy. Breakfast room/cellar was very nice, all decorated in the romantique mood. Outside space at the wellness is also very nice to relax.
The location is new and everything was clean and comfortable. Very close to the Aqua Park and the town center. Very good resturant downstairs. The host was very nice and helpful.
