The city is pleasant for everyone who wants thermal pleasures, peace and relaxation. Heviz is also a very clean city. The thermal lake, churches are also worth a visit... My personal opinion is that most of the restaurants are lower middle class. We ate at Magyar csarda, where the quality of the food was appropriate for the price. A bit disturbing is the overabundance of Thai massages.

Heviz is a quaint small town imbued with a serene wellness ambiance, offering visitors the perfect opportunity to unwind and immerse themselves in relaxation. One can leisurely stroll through the nearby park, soaking in the natural beauty, before indulging in a soothing dip in the rejuvenating thermal pools. While my time was primarily spent within the confines of the hotel, venturing out for a leisurely walk provided a refreshing addition to my wellness weekend.

Relatively quiet town (I visited in mid-January) with lots of green areas. From all the languages I speak (EN, DE, SI, HR, FR, RU) in the end Russian and German were the most usefull when interacting with the shopkeepers and waiters.
The lake / spa is really quite unique- there are not many places where you can freely swim around a lake in the middle of winter (-4C outside T). Fair warning though- the thermal water has a quite pungent scent 🙂.
Very nice room. The building is very close to the town center and to the lake (approx. 10 mins by walk to the lake). The hotel (which the building is connected to) is very nice, with a large swimming pool and a sauna, with a lot of other "wellness activities" (which we didn't use though). Be prepared for a lot of seniors, as the hotel is apparently aimed at them. For that reason, though, it is very calm. A small general store is right opposite the street (at least in 2024), it closes at 22:00 -- very convenient.
You can comfortably visit the thermal spa Heviz or the lake balaton by car from this place. We lived in an apartment on the ground floor, the villa with garden has got multiple floors and is on a slope. The apartment has has got three rooms, kitchen and two bathrooms. Parking is within a fenced area right next to the apartment. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend this accommodation.
Great room, very clean, very comfortqble bed.
We took the larger room (42m2 or 45m2) and it was very big and comfortable with everything we need.
Breakfast and dinner were included and tasty.
The jacuzzi and sounas were nice and clean.
3 min walking from the thermal heviZ lake was fun as well.
They even got us a champagne and macarrons to the room since my boyfriend had his birthday!
New and very clean apartment. Located closeby the Heviz lake and the main promenade of Heviz. The apartment had everything we needed included extras (washing machines, kitchenette, dish washer). The apartment is part of the hotel, so very easily you access the spa thermal swimming pools and all saunas and internets. Perfect stay and we look forward to our next stay :)
The Host was really helpful, the accommodation is close to Lake Hevíz, the breakfast had wide range of possibilities.
We have arrived with a small dog for New years Eve, the room was quite big we had plenty of space.
There is not really a lot parking place, but the Host helped out with their private parking space.
Rita was a very welcoming host; property is very spacious, kitchen is well equipped, there are several balconies and sleeping rooms are isolated. Rita told us about main attractions in Heviz, there is possible to borrow "swimming nudel" if you want to swim in lake Heviz. Really my recommendations to this place!
Exceeded our expectations. The buffet breakfast and dinner were both really tasty with a wide range of food. The spa is good. The thermal lake is a short 10 minutes walk away, but one can get the same water in the hotel's spa.
Really enjoyed the sauna and the pools. The staff were cheerful and friendly.
The apartment was gorgeous, and the location was superb. Centrally located to all your needs. The lake was just a 5 minute walk away! Nigel was very accommodating, and our stay was very pleasant. I'd highly recommend this apartment. We plan on going back again for a weekend visit to Heviz.
The neighbourhood was very quiet and the apartment was clean and spacious. The landlady was helpful and forthcoming with information about Hévíz and its surroundings. We would stay there again should we visit that particularly beautiful spot in Hungary.
The lady that greeted us was very friendly. She came to meet us early when we contacted her and was very flexible and helpful. The location of the apartment is reasonable too, about 20-25 mins to walk to the lake. For Heviz, it is a cheap price too.
The food was fantastic, lots of varieties and super tasty, this is the highlight of the stay, the sauna and steam room was very good too, hotel offers 10%discount for the entrance ticket to the Heviz thermal bath.
Amazing location, just 200 meters away from the lake. Pet friendly hotel, but you have to pay for your dog about 13€ per night. Very good breakfast and dinner. Not bad SPA with a few saunas.
Very cosy and modern apartment in the old centre of Heviz city in immediately distance to thermal lake. I have to say the bad is very confortable. A very good choise is to take a garage.
