Really good place and staff, for sure I will be back!

We stayed at babaleq during a surf trip to desert point and it was awesome, the owner jhon is an internet technician from the village and was helpful to all our questions and had a good communication in English. The accommodation is simple yet well above Indonesians home stay standard, we felt safe and close to where we needed to be, this place is located in a simple local village in a beautiful bangko bangko bay next to desert point, when traveling you can choose to stay on a luxurious resort or have a true local culture immersion and that was our choice, wish jhon and his family’s all the best as his accommodation business keep growing it will get better and better each and every time a western stays there we being supportive of a local man’s bussines so let’s keep doing it. Attention to detail in the room, kind staff, AMAZING food…

This was a truly unique location, with total privacy, fabulous view, and a wonderful Indonesian/western/boutique style aesthetic.

this place is like paradise. we came here for one night and then stayed 6 nights. everything was perfect for us here. the huge property on which the very beautiful 11 bungalows are generously distributed, with two glass fronts, the wooden floor and the bathroom under a starry sky were very idyllic. The food on a platform under a shady tree above the beach was always delicious. The staff were always helpful and super friendly. The beach was very well maintained and the house reef for snorkelling was unique. We can highly recommend the diving centre with its perfect service right next door. We would love to come back here as soon as possible.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable with beautiful private pools. The food is excellent using fresh produce from their own garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have the softest sheets I’ve ever slept on!

Everything was just amazing! Very nicely built and maintained, very friendly and well trained staff, comfortable beds, great amenities, good food, many activities to do, and even better to chill by the beach and read, 2 nights was just not enough.

VAYAM’s location is nothing short of perfect. They are tucked on the south coast of Gili Asahan where boats can dock, the wind isn’t too strong and right by some restaurants & small town which are super accessible if you are looking for some alternatives. The hotel itself is an experience! We stayed in a triangle bungalow with views directly to the sea, it was always clean, had very comfortable beds, great shade curtains for the kids and fantastic outdoor shower that was large enough for the whole family to fit. Amenities & facilities: We also took advantage of the ice bath many times a day as well as the yoga shala where the kids and parents can practice - and the babies have enough space to crawl. Low season was actually perfect for us as we had the entire place to ourselves! We loved that we could also use the stand up paddles and kayaks whenever we needed to head out to do short snorkeling trips. We also did a snorkel tour to the neighboring islands and VAYAM packed a wonderful fruit and drinks cooler with towels & all the snorkeling gear we needed (including for the kids!). It was truly magical. The best part about this whole resort is honestly the staff. We celebrated my birthday at the resort and they made the most wonderful little celebration with the entire staff coming out to sing, decorate our room and sing a birthday song. I was truly grateful! The greenskeeper / boat driver was also always making sure the place was in tip top shape! The florals are incredible here. The housekeeping always knew when to come in/out and replace our towels etc. And the rest of the staff were just incredibly attentive to our needs and knew all of our names by the end - I honestly felt so sad when we left. I did feel at the end, it was like being amongst one big family ❤️

Awesome resort in a peaceful place. Excellent for relaxing, superb sea views. The staff is eager to please your desires. Food is excellent with local and international choices. Bed is more than comfortable.
