You can drive for 1.5hrs from Probolinggo to Bromo which is what we did rather than struggle to get transport there. Probolinggo was fine for what it was - a base from which to explore Bromo - until I had to leave and found myself at the bus terminal. I’d read about the mafia there trying to scam tourists, and boy were they out in full force. I was prepared but also very much not in the mood, so I didn’t get scammed but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.RRachelAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Probolinggo is bigger than I thought, but quite quaint. Nice big park near the train station. Plenty of food options. Very cheap. Plenty of methods of transport from 10000 IDR bemos that take you quite long distances to the little buggy/cart type vehicles. Lots of colour.TRIDXBUnited Kingdom
