We had a great stay in this guesthouse. The property is brand new. We rented 2 rooms for 2 nights. Very clean rooms with clean bathrooms (toilet + shower, no sink)! The AC is very quiet and efficient. The property is located right in front of one of the best restaurants in Riung and has its own shop. There’s a nice place to sit outside in the front yard. Breakfast the first day was really tasty (banana pancakes + egg sandwich), 2nd day chocolate cake & roti sandwich. We really enjoyed our stay in this great new location!

I enjoyed everything there especially the very kind and amusing family! Such kind people, I enjoying sharing good laughters in the evening with Holy dad!
Place is very nice and relaxing. There is no more generator noise like mentioned in previous comments! Electricity and new roads have come to Riung making the perfect location to spend a relaxing few nights.
Breakfast is great and filling, room is big and very clean.
Laundry service available too.

Scenery along the coast is mindblowing.
Streets are in good condition or new, with few exceptions. Good for daytrips along the coast or traveling from town to town. Good connections to/from Bajawa by shared transport (100kIDR per person for one direction). Expect 150kIDR for long distance hops Labuan Bajo - Ruteng - Bajawa - Ende (3,5h each).

We hired a scooter from Labuan Bajo and zig-zagged across Flores to Maumere. We were not sure if we had time to include Riung in our itinerary but so grateful we did and could have stayed longer. Ruing is a unique, quiet seaside village and gateway to the magnificent 17 Islands. We were only made aware of two restaurants but went to the same one (Patto's) both nights because it was so good. Would highly recommend to spare a couple of days to relax and explore, wish we could have stayed a week.
