Super friendly and helpful hosts. The location is quiet and peaceful with a good pool and nice surroundings. You can hire a bike for a good price. One of us unfortunately got sick whilst we were here and the host organized a doctor and extended our stay which made everything stress free and was appreciated. There are only 2 rooms available so it feels nice and private. We stayed for 5 nights and often had the place to ourselves.

OMGGGGG, this was the most amazing hotel we stayed at during our time in Bali, everything about this place is amazing. The room sizes are massive and everything is so pristine. The staff are super friendly and they offer lots of activities around the hotel. This is a MUST STAY and we will be back.

We loved the grounds, and the pool was beautiful. The room was lovely, the bed was comfy and the staff was always very friendly. We loved the Koi at the front of the building. Fed them every day. The scenery from our deck was so beautiful 😍

Villa Uma Ayu - a curate's egg . .
Spectacular location, lush vegetation, view of Gunung Agung, some charming looking cottages, plenty of ponds with fish, some surrounding the cottages. . and a swimming pool. Staff smiling and helpful. The usual included breakfast plus sweet Balinese option. On the plus side, the owner wasn't stuffy about amending our stay dates, and communication was good. Definitely not wheelchair accessible, no AC (not an issue for us).

Sidemen is still not too touristic and does feel off the beaten track. There is a lot of development happening, but locals still see people as people. It is walkable in 30-ish minutes. There is plenty of restaurants, tracks and things to do while being there. Would definitely recommend! Easy to get to and 1 hr away from the beach. Very calm and quiet.

my favorite place where Mt Angun, water rafting, and snorgeling in Blue Lagoon, quadbike thu the river and local area. Going to the Sideman silver smith and make or buy you jewelery eating in and aroud was made easy with many local restaurants. getting aroud was made very easy by renting a scooter very cheap and much quicker then a carVerbeek - 10Scored 10

Great authentic area to visit in Bali, the rice terraces are spectacular and also there are some nice views around if you go by scooter. Good area for tourist needs, nice warungs and restaurants ( i recommend Samanvaya) in the area, scooter rental and stores. Pretty close to many waterfalls, views and other atttractions like Penglipuran Village. The main streets get pretty busy sometimes and some b roads are in a really bad shape, but with a scooter you can overcome everything and the spectacular nature makes you forget any inconvenience.

Good and clean restaurant at the hotel. Several other restaurants at walking distance. Laundry and motor rental available. Nice traditional pasar only 5 to 10 minutes drive by motor. The Batari villa was beautifully designed and spacious with breathtaking views of Sidemen rice terraces and surrounding hills. Whether it was raining or sunny, it was always cozy and comfortable. The pool was great for swimming and walking through the gardens and rice fields on the property was a bliss. Make sure you check out the restaurant which has a great selection and really good food and the traditional Balinese massage in the spa was one of the best ever.

The staff was so nice and friendly, we loved their hospitality. If you go to Bali and want to enjoy the calmness and peacefullness of the island, you need to visit Sidemen. The rice terraces were gorgeous! And you can rent a scooter from the hotel to visit the nearby temples or just ride freely in the picturesque neighbourhood. I would love to come back to the same place!

Also dinner er really good. They came to ask at our villa if we wanted te eat in so they could make a reservation. Pool is great, maybe they could place some more umbrellas. Massage is also really nice in a calm and relax environment. Sidemen is a nice and quit place. We walked 9,5km with our stroller.
