The place is very beautiful, on the edge of a clear river, the atmosphere is still natural and not too touristic. Febby (staff) was very friendly and helpful, Nanta (the guide) was very experienced, He took us through the forest and saw wild orangutans. Sam is an attentive and friendly owner and his staff are excellent! Pipie his main guy was always there to chat and help plus he played Rummikub with us at night!
The restaurant was very good with a great selection of food with amazing value!
They booked out car from Medan and gave a motorbike ride to the hotel which added to our experience!
We also booked a jungle trek with Andre and Rama as our guides… they were patient and fun to hang with and the provided a wonderful lunch plus we saw six Orangutans with a mom and baby within 5ft!

Beautiful location, great food and fantastic staff. We loved our stay here! Our host Josef organised our whole trekking experience and also organised our transport to and from the bus station. We did 3 days trekking with our brilliant guides Anwar and Darwan. Their expertise was second to none, it was such a pleasure to share this experience with such knowledgeable and friendly guides, we loved every minute.
The only downfall was that we couldn't figure out any of Josef's card tricks 🤔 🤣

Staff and food were amazing. We also booked 2 days of jungle trek to see the jungle and of course to see the orangutan. At the end, we saw more than 10 orangutans, including one male. A special thank you to guide Balu and assistant-guide Incang. They are among the most professional and kindest guides we have ever met. Thank you!
