All the staff were friendly and helpful from the time we arrived to being waved goodbye, a lovely family atmosphere. The restaurant and pool area are perfectly situated with amazing views of the water. The food was exceptional and restaurant staff so friendly and helpful. The dive centre had great instructors, very knowledgeable regarding local dives. There are water stations with filtered water to fill your bottles situated around the accommodation area. Will come and stay again. Thank you for a beautiful experience.

Staff were friendly throughout our stay, we enjoyed the food served during the day (great pricing for everything too!) and our dive instructor, Steve, was amazing! Had a clear understanding of what to expect for the dive and it was a great experience seeing the Liberty Ship Wreck.

The place is very cozy, calm, and quiet with a beachfront view, the landscape is amazing - beautiful sunset and Mount Agung at the back. The staff are very helpful, friendly and nice. Internet connection is good for working, both in the common area and in the room. The place is clean and private with a very nice clean interior. Love that they use glass refill bottles for water refill instead of plastic - appreciate their sustainability efforts.

Tulamben is a great, quiet place to stay if you like diving.
Tulamben is a great, quiet place to stay if you like diving. There are a number of diving operators based there. There are a range of restaurants assocated with the diving hotels, and also tasty local Warungs available for the more adventurous. I recommend a 3 night stay to enjoy the diving opportunities here. Go there to dive the Liberty wreck only. The "coral gardens" supposedly off the resort are quite poor, Jemeluk is better. The food at the resort was excellent, but I was so annoyed at being given the wrong villa that I didn't eat there after the first night. This issue with the ocean view villas has happened to others as well- make sure you are given what you have paid for.GailAustralia - 10Scored 10
Tulamben is a dive resort town.
Tulamben is a dive resort town. You will mostly be interacting with other divers from around the world, dive masters, dive instructors, and dive guides. There are some very friendly and helpful store operators and some delightful restaurants but it has little to interest the general traveller. There is not much reason to come here unless you intend to do some diving or snorkelling on the many underwater attractions. You could also use it as a base from which to climb the volcano Mount Agung which hangs in the background of the town like a Damocles Sword.Experimental Films - 8.0Scored 8.0

Tulamben is a diving mecca with volcanic sand and many different dive sites. I only had one day, but I did three dives. I'll go back for more, as the diving is worth it. The reefs did appear to be very busy, but if you meet the right people, I am sure you'll get away from the crowds. I'd like to see more of what Tulamben has to offer.FionaNew Zealand - 8.0Scored 8.0

Quite location , remote so good hotel is important. Travelled to Amed daily to enjoy view and more range of bars/ restaurants entertainment. Though great to go back to remoteness and quite of Tulamben each evening. Plenty to see on the way back to Kuta such as Virgin Beach

Nice place for divers, snorkelers and swimmers.
Nice place for divers, snorkelers and swimmers. Very reach marine life. Get in touch with Yury Ivanov affiliated with Matahari dive resort. He is an expert on nudibranch and little creatures which are plentiful in area around property. If you are experienced solo diver staff may let you dive solo even at night. I did six night solo dives there.

Very nice Staff and amazingly clean facility with pool. We stayed for 3 Nights since we had to extend our stay spontaneously which was no problem. The place offers a excellent washing service and a kitchen with all the gear to make yourself breakfast before heading out for the first dive. We didn’t had warm water but that’s apparently an issue every where and didn’t bothered us to much.

It was sunk 11 years ago as a biological project of the resort and in cooperation with the Indonesian government. Overall a very greatful environment. Still unspoiled Bali. Don't look for discos and shopping here. Look for nice people, amazing gardens, incredible sunsets, and total relaxation.
