The bed was very comfortable and the staff was amazing. I checked in late in the evening as the dining room closed. The man who checked me in had the kitchen make a quick take away dinner that he brought up to my room so I didn’t have to go back out in the cold. Also: the water pressure in the shower is amazing

good for access to mountain bike trails and other walks in area. The River Keale walk from Ballydonoghue bridge to Darragh Bridge was was lovely but do not do in February when ground wet - far too muddy near river to be safe. We slid around for most of it.

Big open plan sitting room was great.

Big open plan sitting room was great. Beds very comfy with nice bed linen. Lovely to have fire. Cosy in evening. A few kitchen quibbles- Hob temperamental- front ring knob fault so switches off when turned to 3 not 0. Rear ring barely heats. No cheese grater. A few more utensils and a sharp knife would be useful.

Lovely walking trails, very quiet and peaceful but not far from Limerick and Cork. Ballyhoura Mountain Trails close by for mountain biking or walking. The River walking trail is beautiful and has a very cute Fairy Village.
