Spectacular staff, amazing food and you can’t get a better location. Beds were very comfortable and water was hot, breakfast made to order and a great selection of fruit, yogurt toast and juice in addition to the main breakfast. The little extras give this place have a special charm that will stay in your memories forever.

Such a quaint little town perched on the waters edge.
Lots of lovely restaurants serving lovely fresh seafood. And some quirky little shops.
We ate lunch at PJ’s known for its oysters.
And at the kingfisher bistro in the evening. Both served delicious food.

Lovely apartment on the Lough.
Lovely apartment on the Lough. The hosts make full use of the space allowing a party of five to stay in comfort. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday night and several of the restaurants were closed which is such a pity which resulted in us having to get take out. The property is right at the entrance to the Greenway and the bike hire company there were great, reasonably priced and very pleasant

Visited Carlingford for a wedding in the Four Seasons Hotel, which is an excellent venue for such an occasion. Quaint small town which was easy to navigate with one way system around town centre. Ate lunch in Carlingford Arms - excellent service and tasty food except for too many onions in chicken curry. Great view of Carlingford Lough from Castle. Visited a few interesting antique shops.

Carlingford is a very beautiful and historic village/small...
Carlingford is a very beautiful and historic village/small town situated on Carlingford Lough that defines part of the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland. It's name reflects the fact that some of it's first tourists :) were the Vikings. Many buildings point to its historic past, most notably King John's Castle. It boasts a variety of restaurants and pubs serving good food, so whether your preference is "surf" or "turf" (or both !) you won't be disappointed. For something to bring home, there are lots of interesting options, including visiting the award winning Garrett Mallon Design House and bringing home one of his distinctive pieces of jewellery or the work of one of his fellow designers featured there.

Great location on Carlingford Lough with great views across to County Down and the Mournes.
Carlingford is a very nice town with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Live music, Good walks and Historical sites.
Good to visit at anytime of year.
Really welcoming staff and a beautiful setting – right next to town but on its own private little plot of land. This is a gem of a hotel!
We were travelling with a toddler (never easy) but the staff made us feel very welcome and were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Loved the short walk into the beautiful town of Carlingford and the harbour, we also had a lovely morning exploring the gardens around the hotel with our daughter. The delicious breakfast was the cherry on top :-)
Kitchen area with small fridge microwave and kettle was really handy ,we brought some food with us and was able to make sandwiches etc fridge was good to keep beer and food cool. Maybe abit over priced but we had an extra 2 single beds in the room so if we'd have brought the kids then it's a bargain .Good spot and will definitely return as hotel across the way was alot more expensive for the dates we stayed .
Shalom was fantastic. From our arrival Jackie and Kevin where a delight. Our self catering unit was beautiful, clean, comfortable, warm. Seating outside, which was great. Just a 5 minute walk from the four seasons hotel, where we attended a wedding. Breakfast was delicious. Service fabulous. Would have no hesitation staying at Shalom, situated In a lovely area
Love the setting of near a creek off the highway far enough to not hear traffic. Close enough to Carlingford not to be a hindrance, rooms are made up beautifully. The grounds were meticulously clean, a fantastic room in the back to share your stories in without disturbing others.
So much to say about this experience and the owners just lovely.
The location is perfection, just a short walk from the village centre where there are plenty of places to eat & drink.
The view from our room was excellent, looking out across Carlingford Lough. This was a perfect location for the swimming event my husband was taking part in.
The hosts are wonderful, friendly, generous and kind
Excellent location to the town of Carlingford and the Four Seasons hotel where we had a wedding. Gorgeous views of the mountains and the lough from the property. Very cosy and warm apartment, with a very comfortable bed. The host Maureen was extremely helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be back to stay again.
This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Carlingford. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend Wildwood for anyone visiting Carlingford. Short to walk to restaurants and pubs
Excellent property and great host. Fantastic food and exceptionally clean. Beautiful decor and style. Everything for your stay is thought of in the rooms which you wouldn't get in 5 star hotels! We will most definitely be booking again.
The rooms were very clean and tidy. They looked dressed like hotel rooms. The breakfast was lovely. Gluten and dairy free options were available on prior request. It was located in a quiet residential area and a 10 minute walk to town.
The location was made even more special as it was the home of the Last Leprechaun Whisperer of Ireland. Very close to the town center in a wonderful setting. Breakfast was great and perfect for hungry cycle tourists.
the old boat house was Lovely and clean in a great location we where going to a wedding in four seasons. the wee table and chairs outside are great if you want to have a drink with great views.
