The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. The breakfast was just enough to get you started for the day. Our room overlooked the river and was scenic, quiet, and peaceful. Loved it. One of the staff gave us a personal tour through the castle and Elizabeth, the castle cat, greeted us each time we returned from being out and about. Felt like home away from home.

Great location. Nice selection for breakfast items. Lobby has bar/restaurant for evenings and great beer selection. Stayed over Paddy’s day weekend and hotel bar was great way to escape the town after all day crowds.

Smooth check in from the friendly staff.
Smooth check in from the friendly staff. Asked for our two rooms to be on low floor, quiet & one for someone with mobility issues. All of these were as requested. Rooms were MASSIVE! Beds super comfy, rooms & bathroom spotlessly clean. Bottled water, tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdryer, safe, iron and ironing board in all rooms!!! Plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases. Ate at the Bia & Co restaurant in the hotel and have to say the staff were very attentive and helpful with choosing food. The food was exceptional, very reasonably priced and the desert the best I've ever had! Bravo to the chef! The live entertain was awesome! We had an amazing night singing our hearts out. The bar staff and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast did not disappoint! A huge selection of cooked breakfast items, hot and delicious. Again tge staff were very attentive bringing us copious amounts of tea & coffee. Check out was smooth and again friendly staff on reception. There is a gym and pool at the hotel too but unfortunately didn't use it but the pool looked very inviting. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Claregalway Hotel & will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We have stayed here loads over the last 18;years never had a bad word to say about this hotel till now reception staff were not 1 bit friendly and made me to feel like a stranger , when my details should all have been in their system , also asked to pay up front ! I’ve never had this done before , bar staff were very young and in experienced , lady on reception for the dining was exceptional , hopefully this hotel will go back to its old ways of welcoming its former guests ,

We stayed in the hotel for one night.
We stayed in the hotel for one night. We were upgraded to the presidential suite which was a wonderful surprise as I was celebrating my graduation. The room was very spacious, comfortable and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. My gluten free full Irish breakfast was excellent. There was also gluten free muffins, scones, bread and a selection of cereal. I was very impressed overall and look forward to staying again.
The hotel and facilities were great. I was travelling for Valentine’s Day and got an upgrade to the presidents suite. It was the biggest and nicest room that I’ve ever stayed in. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was probably the most impressive aspect of the suite. There was a twin rainfall sit down shower with a third detachable shower head surrounded by glass. The bath tub was huge and featured L.E.D lights in the ground surrounding the bath tub made for a relaxing environment.
This is a Wow! factor property.
Located not far from Galway, we enjoyed three nights at Claregalway Castle.
Our host was fantastic and made sure our stay was all that it could be. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast generous.
But even more, staying in the restored Castle with all its history was phenomenal.
Our host gave us access to view the ballroom, the tower and other parts of the Castle, where we could learn more about its history.
The shower had a good bit of pressure.
It did not make up for the dirtyness, the dogs that sent us to bed barking and woke us up barking, the unpleasant, stern Caroline, the husband that yelled at her to “SHUTUP” when she asked him a question, how we were not allowed our breakfast time preference bc of other guests as the dining area was to small to accommodate the guests….. so much more.
The castle tower and the farmhouse was from the 1400 and has been very well restored! There is so much history in the hotel! The rooms are not in the tower but on the newer building around the premise. The place is vast and our rooms were facing east, we were greeted by the morning sunlight! Beds were comfortable and toilet were clean!
The staff Dione and his team were warm and welcoming. I loved the feeling of being at home in the Castle. The accommodation was clean and neat. Views were beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to stay at the Claregalway Castle
All staff members were excellent. Enjoyed our dinner, breakfast and drinks in lounge. Musician was bonus points! Lots of secure parking. Great location with easy drive in and out of Galway and area. Very easy route on motorway back to Dublin airport.
The hotel was great, great location 15 min. drive to galway city, and next to beautiful ruins as well as convenient grocery stores. The pool is great when traveling with kids, as well as a big bathtub in the room. Great stay overall.
Great family hotel. Great swim club for the kids, dinner club and movie club. This should be advertised more as it's not mentioned wen checking in and only because we previously stayed I wouldn't have known.
Clean spacious room, we had a lovely stay. It has different facilities. We had dinner at Bia&co and food was lovely and staff as well. Really recommend this hotel. We will come back wherever we ll go to Galway.
One of our favorite stays in Ireland! Such an incredible experience. To stay in a castle with so much history was such a treat! Everyone was so welcoming, professional, and kind!
Beautiful buildings with antiqùe furnishings. Lovely surrounds. Staff very welcoming and short walk to hotels. Free car parking on premises. Very good continental breakfast.
