Beautifully decorated hotel and very close to city center. Secured entry 24/7 via key fob. Amenities were superb in the room, including hairdryer, safe, iron, armoire and a nice added touch to see packs of cookies at the coffee/tea kettle counter in room. Bed was comfortable and bathroom shower very nice. The staff were so kind and the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and presented beautifully. I would gladly return to this hotel when visiting Kildare again.

The rooms were as stunning as the pictures shown. The room was large and so well decorated. The awesome nescafe machine was a bonus. The location is perfect for the area. I wish we stayed longer.

Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

We loved Kildare and would recommend, unfortunately it was rather wet so restricted our walking but still enjoyed. The pubs were fabulous, very friendly people, wished it was our last port of call in Ireland instead of the first as there is a huge designer outlet complex and no room to carry all the purchases I would have liked to indulge in 🤪

Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet. There’s not a lot of bars and restaurants but it’s cosy and perfect for a quite night away. We stayed in the silken Thomas and ate and drank in their adjoining restaurant the food was lovely cocktails were ok. Would definitely stay again
Always such a treat to stay in Cumminghams it's my favourite place to stay in the Midlands. Always get a warm welcome from the staff. I've stayed few times and each room is always so stunning like a Boutique hotel look. Always immaculately clean and bed so comfortable. I have a upcoming booking which I needed to change and Rachel couldn't have been more helpful to assist me. It's why I always recommend Cumminghams to people looking for the perfect place to stay in Kildare
Perfect location in the center of lovely Kildare just steps from other pubs and the ancient cathedral. Rooms were 1,2,3 above the pub. I was worried about noise from the pub but the rooms are well sound insulated and the windows, too. I also really enjoyed the pub where I had a delicious dinner and enjoyed excellent service from the Irish staff. The manager, Mick, and the woman who greeted us and checked us in, Ellen, were all super.
I stayed here for business for 4 nights and have also stayed many times before.
The rooms were very comfortable, staff were excellent David in particular and food wonderful. Since I came last time it has had a make over and extension. Very well laid out.
Car Park free if you stay in the hotel. Would recommend even if just for a meal.
5 minute drive to Kildare Village outlet and 40mims to Dublin Centre.
Bespoke bijou boutique hotel with secure private entrance, elevator and designer hotel style bedroom. Exquisitely decorated. Very quiet as thick walls between each unit. Keyless access. Discounts for cafe and restaurant as well as kildare village outlet. Location was central. Nrspresso in room. Finishing touches. Walk in rain shower. Nice view of cathedral.
I had a great time staying at this property. super clean and quiet yet just off the Main Street. They provide coffee, waters, toiletries and I even had a fan in the room. But the greatest asset is their manager Michael who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and helped me to find a couple of hidden places around Kildare.
I would recommend this hotel , the location was absolutely brilliant central for everything 10 mins walk from Kildare village 10 mins walk to the train station all staff were so friendly and helpful two lovely restaurants in the hotel as well
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I was staying at the hotel on my way back from a concert and they were ok with me getting back to my room late. All in all a good stay. Would stay again.
We spent our first two nights in Ireland at ‘The Old Goat House’ and don’t let the name fool you, it is so elegant. It was perfect in every way. The garden was a dream and the friendliness with beyond anything we expected
Conveniently located on a quiet lane way off the centre of Kildare. Brilliant comfortable living area and separate bedroom. Hosts very kindly provided lots of snacks and drinks. The entire property was spotlessly clean.
Location was prefect especially if you want to shop at kildare village, the accommodation was perfect very clean ,has everything you need for a perfect getaway. bed was an extra bonus guaranteed a great night sleep
Public parking right behind hotel was convenient and inexpensive. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable and high end, with naspresso machine and complimentary crisps and water.
Austin was incredibly friendly and was so nice to make us some delicious scones for breakfast. Very nice place with a convenient location as we were on our way from Dublin to the west of Ireland
Everything was updated, beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The location was perfect, right in the center of a sweet town. Walking distance to grocery stores. Felt perfectly safe.
We were looking for a place west of Dublin to begin our stay in Ireland. Rooms at Firecastle was a good choice. Great beds and bathroom. Staff was helpful as well.
