I found getting there by train from Heuston(Dublin)to Claremorris and onward by bus to Knock was easy enough. Once there it was easy to go onward to other destinations as a number of buses go through Knock. Derry,Athlone,Galway and Westport to name a few. There is are diverse eating establishments. Knock is very easy to get around although trying to park may at times be a problem.

I would not recommend unless you are very Catholic as apart from the Shrine which is beautiful, that's it. Knock hotel felt like a retirement home and it was scruffy and staff very unprofessional.

Devine Mercy Guest House is an ideal place to stay in Knock.
Devine Mercy Guest House is an ideal place to stay in Knock. The hosts are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Accommodation is very comfortable, situated in a quiet location within walking distance of the Shrine and shops. Hosts are very flexible and cater to ones needs. A taxi service is provided which is very helpful when transport is needed from and to the airport. Having stayed there twice and having got such excellent service I will definitely stay there again in the future. I loved Knock Museum and excellent meals are served in the restaurant. I would suggest checking the telephone number for Devine Mercy B&B with codes etc before you set out as my flight was delayed and my text messages didn't get through to advise of my late arrival

I did not like the fact that the churches were over the top with security. The queues were very long to get into the basilica.
There are 5 churches in knock.
They should have all been open for priests to say mass.
A bit In your face with donation boxes
Hotel closed to visitors, only open for residents, so meals were poor in the take away restaurants. .
Greeted warmly by our hostess. After settling in we went to the lounge to sit and were treated with a pot of tea and homemade soda bread. The rooms were a good size, nice ensuite facilities. Beds were comfortable. Had a kettle and tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was full Irish cooked to order. Less than 5 minutes' drive from Our Lady of Knock Shrine. On the suggestion of our hostess, we found a good place for dinner, and attended Rosary and evening mass at the Shrine - a highlight of our stay.
Breakfast was really lovely , the setting in the dining room was just so nice , our 2 hosts where wonderful , when we arrived we where met by a lovely lady who made us feel at home , especially made my mam feel so comfortable , was just a lovely experience , will definitely be booking again , a beautiful and peaceful place to stay when visiting knock

Really excellent B+B... top quality... the hosts are very welcoming and the house is peaceful and friendly. Right beside Knock shrine, the house is immaculate and the Vegetarian breakfasts were super. Very good price as well for the facilities offered. Looking forward to staying again when I visit Knock!
A very friendly welcome! Greeted with homemade baking and Tea/coffee. Ideal location for people visiting Knock or touring the West of Ireland. Very clean, comfortable bed and the breakfast was exceptional. We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends.
The host Ann is wonderful. Welcoming, friendly and very attentive. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had the traditional Irish breakfast which was delicious and plentiful. Location is just 5 minutes from Knock Shrine.
Excellent stay! Elsie was very nice! She made a great breakfast! Her B & B was clean and friendly, and tastefully decorated for the pilgrim to Knock (myself). Close to the town and also the shrine. Lovely place and at a great price.
The location to Knock village was perfect. Not too close and not too far away. Kathleen was a wonderful host. The food was wonderful with a lot of choices. I’m gluten free and Kathleen was so accommodating! Clean, spacious room.
Anne was so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. She keeps the most beautiful home scrupulously clean. We we were flying from Knock so didn't stay long. Would love to stay again and tour the area.
The cooked breakfast was plentiful and delicious served by Linda the host. The location overlook the Knock Shrine which is only a four minutes walk away
