The LB is a great spot to meet up with family and friends. The service is excellent and the owner is always visible checking up and greeting guests. We have been visiting since 1988 and it never fails us .

Great location. Lots of space. Three bathrooms in the house. Comfy beds. Everyone we met was really friendly, especially the folks at Johnny D’s pub across the street. Bagenalstown is a beautiful spot along a river. It’s definitely worth the drive (a little over an hour south) from Dublin. It’s an easy drive to many of the places we wanted to see like Kilkenny, Waterford, and Cork. Price was fair (Appropriate to the condition of the house).

Very clean, quiet place, closer to all the amenities. Nice warm house you want to come and relax. The village is historical and beautiful. Make sure you go for a boat ride also for a walk, there are many hidden gems. A nice pint in the local pub will not disappoint you.
The hotel was in a lovely village and was on the bank of a river, which we could see from our room and saw lots of wildlife. We thought the hotel entrance was really smart and nicely decorated and spacious and our room and bathroom were really clean and a great size. We had a lovely cooked breakfast each morning with plenty of choice and all the staff were very friendly. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was really good.
No 52 was a vey lovely large room & bathroom with great shower, located to the rear corner of the hotel with dual aspect over the river & large car park.
A large hotel with very nicely appointed reception areas whilst still managing to make it feel personal.
A very good evening meal in the Lord Bagenal Inn which is part of the hotel & breakfast also good
Its worth a stroll through the small village & down by the river (The barrow Way)
Everything was exceptional. Huge room and huge bathroom, great views. Lovely friendly staff. Fabulous evening and food in the pub followed by the best breakfast ever the next morning.
