Daphne was an incredibly lovely host who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. She accommodated my request for a vegan breakfast without any hesitation, provided great advice for an evening meal, and would have provided me with a packed lunch as well if I had wanted. The residents lounge was a lovely area to relax and meet other guests. The property including the garden are beautiful and steeped in history. I was expecting only a simple room but it far exceeded this. The bed and room were cosy and comfortable with a very will appointed en suite. I had a wonderful view overlooking the garden and valley and was woken by the sound of the dawn chorus which was fabulous. I travel a good bit and must say that I was blown away with how amazing this place (and Daphne) was. It was reflected when talking to other repeat guests and with Daphne herself of course.
