It depends what you want.
It depends what you want. I've been there several times as I have worked in India and it's very convenient for a short break before returning to the UK.There are a lot more tourists than there were even 5 years ago but it's the same nearly everywhere. The south of Goa is quieter and I guess so are parts of Kerala if you want beach but I haven't been for ages so not the best judge. There's a good choice of restaurants in Colva and the ATM usually works. You can walk around it in a very short time. There are lots of tourist shops selling the same stuff as every other tourist place in India. It's easy to get to from the airport. I go because I just want a short break in a convenient location with a clean beach.To be honest there are much more interesting places to see in India but they are not beach places. We are not sunbathers, so felt Colva was geared up for people who didn’t want to do much. There are loads of really good restaurants in Colva. Colva-South Goa has peaceful,serene beaches. It is not as congested as North Goa. The new roads make travel to north goa a breeze. We enjoyed food at Boomerang beach restaurant. Colva is small and quiet located in South Go.
Colva is small and quiet located in South Go. If you're looking for action you should probably book in north Goa. This area is for resting, relaxing and there are a few bars where you can drink while watching the waves roll in. It's about 30 minutes from the airport.

A drink and dip in the pool is a must. Staff is very helpful. They cleaned the pool as soon as we asked. Play some games with your friends in the pool. You will have a perfect peaceful holiday and also in budget.
