Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks...
Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit..
City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit.. Entire town streets full of warm clothe shops and nothing else.. however, nearby places are good as usual.. this is my 5th time to the place and not new.. people with 3-4 days time can explore various places, talk to nature, enjoy the cool bridge..

When I first arrived in Darjeeling, I noticed it was crowded...
When I first arrived in Darjeeling, I noticed it was crowded and a bit polluted. But, overlooking that, the city offered an amazing view of the Himalayan ranges. The downtown area felt like any other hill station, with cozy cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Despite the hustle and bustle, the real charm of Darjeeling became clear – it's a place where the beauty of nature shines through, making it special despite the city buzz.

Walk around to explore the streets and take in the views.
Walk around to explore the streets and take in the views. The Himalayan Tibetan Museum is worth a visit - small but so interesting. Happy Valley Tea was interesting although it is not operational in December/Jan. Walk up Tiger Hill for the views well worth it - rather than driving. The Zoo was worth it as was the Toy Train. People were friendly, not pushy and helpful. All kinds of food to try. Try Chula for momos!
it was a bit hard to find especially after a flight from Delhi to Bagdogra and a 4h drive to Darjeeling... but we made it ok and the owner was a very nice guy, very cheerful and very fluent in English. our room had a beautiful view of Darjeeling and we made the most it... the market was down the road with lots of restaurants and the departure point to get a shared taxi to go to Sikkim.... we really enjoyed the hotel.
Love everything about this hotel❤️.Manager and
Staffs were very nice ,helpful, well behaved.
I felt blessed for choosing this hotel for my stay on this darjeeling trip.Room were spacious, neat and tidy, everything was perfect.Bed were super comfortable👌.i will stay here definitely in future if i am in town🤗.Thank u for everthing🙏.
Location: Even though it was 10 minutes by shared jeep ride to Darjeeling town, the rides are frequent and cheap. The homestay is in a quiet spot and it has lovely views onto the town, hills and mountains. The hosts mr Rajesh and his wife are congenial, kind and helpful. The food is homely and hits the spot. The staff are very good.
I have stayed at dozen of hotels this was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Darjeeling.
Thank You Muscatel Team🌷
We checked in at 1 am took lunch in a nearby hotel they arranged a cab for sight seeing and in the morning also a car arranged by them repoted in time and dropped us at Bdogra airport safely in reasonable fare. 2 , No confusion after booking and advance payment ,we were awaited.
complete wastage of money. what they have shown during booking ( the rooms) what we actually got is way different. I hv tried to reach booking.com. but no contact no no help desk no email I’d. will never recommend anyone to go to this chain of hotels neither to use booking.com
No cleanliness, hygiene and badly maintained infrastructure with flush not working in some rooms. Walls damp and stinking rooms. We had a horrible Darjeeling experience just because of the stay. Please don’t get fooled by the photos shared or rating of this hotel.
I have visited many cities of India.. but the kind of fresh, delicious and hygienic food,
neat and clean room and
most well behaved staff..
I got at Tharbaling homestay in Darjeeling,
I never found such a outstanding hotel.. 👍👍
The view of the hotel is extraordinary. It is the best place in Darjeeling. You will just enjoy the stay here as it is easy to travel to all places from here. I will definitely visit again especially to stay here.
I liked everything about my stay at Magnolia Residency. It's a 5 min walk from the mall and Mr. Pradhan is an exceptional host. I would recommend everyone visiting Darjeeling to stay at Magnolia Residency.
The property is at stone throwing distance from main road to Darjeeling and nearby to the market. The rooms were very cozy, spacious and clean. The view of Kanchenjunga from the balcony is mesmerizing.
Good hotel in Darjeeling in a very good location .
Loved the stay.If you don't mind for Himalayas view from your room then it's a very good property to stay.Food was good and breakfast was lovely.
The owner of this hotel is very friendly and helpful. He helped us with restaurants and rentals. Also he is very polite and provides help if needed. I recommend everyone to stay in this hotel.
The staff or owner is well behaved and they treat us well and they also have scooty, they gave us on rent for two days due to which we can explore the Darjeeling as local.
It’s very bad hotal . Service is very poor. Room is not cleaned properly. Don’t like to stay this type of hotel and booking.com should not recommend this hotel
