Loved the fact that it was lambing season and we could hear and smell the new life. Also watching the newborns try to walk (or hop) was a treat. Friendly and helpful, but non intrusive host was definitely a plus. Meeting and visiting other guests in the common areas was wonderful. All in all, we felt very comfortable as guests in somebody’s home.

I would definitely stay here again! I traveled with my mom and the room was perfect for two people. Would recommend staying here if you plan on being in the Skaftafell area. Dinner was convenient and good for the area we were in.

The place is an excellent spot for Northern Lights hunting and experienced. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The wifi is seamless and parking is abundant. Highly recommended and great value for money. very near to Crystal Blue Ice cave tour if your coming from Reykjavik.

Hof seemed to be a small city, perfectly located if you are renting a car to see the area, we came from Vik, and we drove all over the Jökulsárlón and returned on the evening to the hotel. as every village in Iceland, you need to pay attention to the exit, but google map was able to find it and we didn't have any problems. We booked the 2 double room, assuming we needed to share the bathroom, little did we know that the two rooms are part of a cottage and it was like a big 2 bedroom house rather than 2 double room. Breakfast was amazing, and I suppose in aurora season, you can look up and see the northern like, but even if there is no season, waking up to the nature was mind blowing. it was perfect for us, 4 friends who did the ring road in 9 days!LauraUnited Kingdom

We had three bedrooms and a common area; the common area (couches, table for 4, and kitchen) were amazing in the morning--I would come out of our bedroom to the bright light coming in from two directions, one a plain that had horses and beautiful skies and the other an Icelandic green hill with a waterfall and sheep. Incredible. The whole family loved it.
