stunning, make sure you walk all the way down the trail, there are two other gorgeous waterfalls that a lot of people missed by not going all the way to end end of the trail (which is only a few hundred meters long).

This is an amazing place to hike and see some glorious views...

This is an amazing place to hike and see some glorious views - especially on a clear day - which can be a bit tricky. We were extremely fortunate to have some of the the sunniest days recorded. Could not ask for a more comfortable hike. There are glacier hikes that you can pay for but honestly parking at the Park and hiking up yourself is something you will not soon forget. Not too laborious, but you defintely feel like you are exercising. Loved every minute of this hike and I wish I could have stayed longer.

Sadly we only had a day in Skaftafell and I wish we had more time to explore the national park. What we did see was stunning. Nature, hikes, glaciers and ocean all within a stones throw of each other. Well worth a longer visit than just to pass through.

Skaftafell is quite isolated so it was great to have this place to stay. The restaurant menu was expensive but the fuel station across the road ran a diner with burgers and fish that was more reasonable. A great place to stay near the National Park. Great views out of the window in our room and at breakfast. Breakfast was better than most places with an eggs bacon and baked beans in addition to the usual cereals and toast.

Short review: excellent breakfast, unbelievable location, fairly basic rooms, excellent shower and pressure, nice bar, ample parking, and behind the hotel at 1 km is the most amazing glacier that you can walk to from the hotel on a pre-cut path. The service station is just across the road, and there is no alternative place to eat there. Food in a restaurant is fairly expensive, but really good.

Location was great, with the glacier and mountain just right behind the hotel. On a clear day, u will get an exceptionally great view. It was also very near to the Skaftafell terminal which was the meeting point for our glacier hike :) Breakfast was great too, with a good selection (including the much appreciated range of plant-based milk!)

Gorgeous location, great food, friendly staff! And the hotel had a service where it offered to call guests in the night if any northern lights were spotted. Sure enough after we had fallen asleep, we got a wake up call a few hours later to see an incredible aurora display. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

Plenty of parking lots in front of the hotel, however it tends to get packed. Breakfast is included, wide variety but not the best quality. Has lobby/reception area which feels polished, and there is a bar located on the 2nd floor which closes at 11pm.

Great location close to the glacier and not to far from many of the glacial attractions (kayaking in glacier lagoon, glacier hiking/climbing). Dinner at the hotel was very tasty but quite pricy
