We arrived a little later in the evening than planned, but the owner was very welcoming and showed us around the apartment. There is a large sitting area/dining room with a huge window looking out over the field of horses roaming free. There are three bedrooms off the main area. The bath was nicely sized and the kitchen had everything you could want in it. We were the only ones staying there so we really felt very special to have such wonderful accommodations to ourselves. Over the top, lovely!

Great place for family vacations involving horseback riding, but also a great place to spend some quiet time and decompress. We used it to recover from jet-lag for a couple of days. Breakfast was fabulous. Dinners were also great, albeit expensive.

Stokkseyri is a small coastal village with good facilities. The property would be suitable all year round for families. Obviously not many roads in Iceland but a good central location for the south coast and plenty of amazing places to visit.

Stokkseyri is a quiet seaside community well situated for doing day trips along the coast. There is a gas station/fast food restaurant/ convenience store, a wonderful crafts shop with beautiful hand knit sweaters, a museum ( wasn’t open when we were there), a kayak tours group and 1 restaurant that serves an amazing bisque. Overall- a nice little town that we would go back to.
