Amazing place, staff was above and beyond our expectations. Room was huge and quiet, very clean, and the breakfast was fresh and with good variety of local dishes. We would definitely visit again if we travel to the same area.

Great location, small cozy and friendly. Very good breakfast. Premises and rooms verywell kept. Staff always ready to help. Parking
the only person even remotely friendly was the chef.
the only person even remotely friendly was the chef. They had very few of the listed choices on their menu. The owner was bad humoured and rude. The taxi driver charged me double the price from the airport and again on a trip to Bergamo. A radio-taxi driver was horrified to hear about this when he charged me a lot less. Buses back to Almenno from Bergamo stop at approx 7pm so if you miss that (I did twice, the first time because I didn't know the times and the second because the train was delayed coming back from Verona). If visiting Bergamo, it would be much cheaper to specify 'in Bergamo city' in your search. Northern Italy is far more money-grabbing than Rome which was an excellent place to visit. The area is absoutely worth a visit, just beware of being ripped off. (and remember to check if there is a kettle!). I offered the one I had to buy to the hotel owner (having already given them a knife, a bucket, port, unopened food etc) and he rudely said 'I don't want.' I would have thought it would be useful to them for any future guests and as I could not take it with me (baggage restrictions) I just gave it to a random stranger. There was a weird, unwelcoming feel to the hotel and I could hear a woman shouting at a man at night I found upsetting.
