We initially arrived to a different hotel (5*) booked for the entire stay. We quickly realized that 5* standard in Sardinia is not what you get in other countries. The value for money is very low. You feel being ripped off for everything. Facilities very old.. luckily and by chance we found Tenuta Pilastru. The big difference to many hotels we checked on Sardinia is 1) Professional employees - great service everywhere (which is not given in Italy) from reception to restaurant (we were given also free upgrade of the room as it had no balcony - very nice gesture, and we actually prolonged our stay!) 2) NEW facilities, also not given in Italy. Not bland colors and old furniture. New bathroom, new bedroom, everything is of high quality and new, finally felt back to 2023 (in other hotel it was back in 70s). 3) location - is great hidden in the nature, beautiful to relax. Very well taken care of! 4) food in the restaurant was great and not overpriced, freshly made and very tasty.

But I have to say this place looks beautiful but deserted.
Not many guests stayed at the of our staying.
The charging commission but saying they are not . Ask to book a boat charges 1500euros 200 , had to pay directly to them . I Had to pay separately.

The resort is wonderful. Quiet and peaceful with an idyllic outlook. The rooms and pool area were all fantastic. The staff were great and the food and cocktails were amazing. The beds were super comfy too.

Typical, honest 3-star hotel on the outskirts of town. Still with several resraurants close and town center easily reachable on foot.
Own, secure, free parking.
Easy check in/out.

Giants Tombs and other archelogical site in the nearby area...
Giants Tombs and other archelogical site in the nearby area of Tenuta Pilastru are very interesting. Only 20 minutes drive to the Costa Smeralada, the worldwide renound resort, with amazing white sand's beaches and spectacular views, as well as Porto Cervo Village and its Marina, together with high-end shopping opportunities. Arzachena is a honest pleasent village, but with nothing really special to see...

Arzachena is a wider area plus name of nearby town.
Arzachena is a wider area plus name of nearby town. We stayed in Cannigione which is the main coastal town of the area. It is our favourite town in Sardinia now our kids are teenagers. They can use the town's beach and head off to bars and shops on their own. Lots of choice of restaurants and the town is really on the up since the investment in the new Marina. With the big boats came investment and there are new restaurants and hotels popping up. All budgets are catered for. You can get lunch for 5 euros or pay 100 euros a head if you wish. The beach is small and right in the town. There are much nicer beaches nearby but having it there is such a bonus if you don't want to travel or just want a quick swim. The sea is clear and not affected by the boats nearby.

This is an ordinary town, not a tourist destination.
This is an ordinary town, not a tourist destination. There’s a nice market on Wednesdays. Two good restaurants are Mama Pizzeria and La Terrazia above Delphine bar. There are buses to Cannegione where you can get a full-day boat trip to La Maddalena islands which are stunning.
There are buses to Palau where you can get a ferry to Maddalena town - really pretty with great restaurants. There are buses to Porto Cervo - the millionaires’ playground, definitely worth a visit. The buses are infrequent so plan carefully.
beautifully perfect, Mirco and Olga are amazing hosts!
location is fantastic, lots of parking.
has more than everything you need.
bathroom fully equipped.
comfy bed for two (in our case)
an absolutely amazing breakfast that you likely won’t get anywhere else, and in a beautiful common area.
nice sized fridge. (bigger than average)
tv with channels in multiple languages.
you can’t ask for better (if you’re reading this, just book it!)
when I come back to Sardegna, this is where I’m staying
thanks again Mirco and Olga! :)
Spent 5 nights here (August 2023). We enjoyed every minute of it. The retreat is family run and it positively shows. The facilities are brand new, rooms are spacious, breakfast offers a very nice selection and they went all out on the pool which we thought is spectacular. In terms of location, if you want to see the most of this part of Sardinia, this is the place to be as you get to all the good beaches, restaurants and towns in max 25min.
The location is just outside of Arzachena so it is quiet and peaceful. The mountain in the back of the property makes it very picturesque. The hosts are a wonderful and friendly couple that made our stay very memorable. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. This is the only place in Sardegna that we have ever been offered fresh cooked eggs with our breakfast. Definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.
The owners gave us extra linen for a child as booking did not take him into account, without extra charges, very nice of them. The house is in the very quiet countryside, not any noice, we could observe the stars, you have all the necessary equipment new. The place has a good situation in a calm place but you can easily reach all the tourist spots of Costa Smeralda, Palau to go to archipel Maddalena, ext.
Tranquility among the hills surrounding Arzachena, with a beautiful view of nature from the terrace, but all the important locations of Costa Smeralda are easily reachable. The building and the property are fabulous, with artistic aesthetics, and the rooms are very cosy. The hosts are exceptionally friendly, hospitable and thoughtful. You will definitely want to return here!
The lovely unforgettable location went well above our expectations.
Sparkling clean a renovated room.
Extremely professional staff that welcomed us with a huge smile.
We relaxed by the pool and SPA.
Very powerful high speed WI-FI.
The local restaurant with sardinian food and wine was delicious.
Perfect place to relax and unwind.
Higly recommended.
We had a very pleasant stay in a residential neighborhood in Arzachena - quiet, yet close enough to beaches, the coast and other attractions by car.
Ennio is a very helpful and knowledgeable host and has given us a lot of tips. Also the well functioning AC was much appreciated.
Great location near Arzachena and to explore the area from. Fantastic vinyard close by. Must say - the restaurant on site was unbelievably good. The best food we had on Sardinia. Ate there both nights. Staff great both at reception and in restaurant - really helpful
Everything was great!! This place is like a treasure in Sardegna (Sardinia). The location is perfect to visit the area. The owner is so nice and helpful!! She made everything to make us feel happy and comfortable. I would definitely repeat another stay in Li Tauli.
Everything was great - communication with the host, smooth check-in, rooms, cleanliness, location & breakfast. Very nice & helpful staff - they helped us with logistic & sight-seeing questions. We had dinner there too and the Sardinian t-bone was phenomenal.
The property was well kept and very nice. Cristina (the hotel manager) was absolutely incredible! She was available 24/7 and gave us really god tips. Also the restaurant was sooo good! The best pasta we had! Overall very good hotel
Wow! This place is a gem. Very friendly host who went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay. Our room had a washer machine which was super convenient. Plus the hotel has parking for guests. Fantastic stay.
Perfect oasis close to everything in Costa smeralda with charming and friendly hosts. You want sleep better anywhere else and breakfast is definitely not "italian" breakfast...it's better than anywhere in Italy
Location- gorgeous house surrounded by nature with sea and Caprera’s island view
Homemade breakfast- delicious cake/ marmalade made by the owner
Close to Arzachena and beautiful beaches
We loved the peaceful and quiet location!! The view from the room and from the breakfast table was amazing… Arzachena is a lovely town, for us one of the most glamorous in Sardegna.
Everything was so nice here! The staff, the location, the food. It was the best hotel of our stay in Sardegna. I can recommend it to everyone, this is how holidays must feel.
