It was wonderful 👌 We’d love to come back to this gorgeous village, the markets on Sunday were outstanding with lots of clothes, jewellery etc not sure how often they’re on. A pretty lakeside town both on the waterfront and internally. More low key than Stresa and Verbania but plenty of bars and cafes to suit all price ranges. It is a tranquil place with a nice vibe in the evenings and quite a buzzing lido area plus the ability to swim off the lakefront at the other quieter end of town. The town is extremely beautiful and the restaurants are excellent. My only concern is that everything is geared towards the Germans, ie the menus, the choice of wines and we were often spoken to in German by staff untill we informed them that we were English.

It is beautiful. The room was spacious and elegant with an incredible view of the lake. Delicious breakfasts were served on the balcony overlooking the lake. We loved that we could wake up in Italy and go hike in Switzerland within the same day. Check out Valle Maggia and the film frstival of Locarno. If you have a car, drive up ( and I mean up) to the farm/ restaurant Da Attilio for a delicious lunch with a view.Ender dragon191United States of America
