It was close to the bus stop, and the facility where old style, with stone walls, hard wooden door, very cozy and nice looking especially if you like vintage and country life style, the room was spacious.
the furniture have stories to tell, and it can be clearly seen most of the items are rare history gems, like the lamps.
Host is gentle and helpful.

The breakfast was very accomodating, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. I was staying alone, and expected a much smaller room, but was very pleased with the large room made available to me. It was incredibly clean, the bathroom was also large, and the air conditioning was perfect.

Perfect location, as it was in the country-side but not too...
Perfect location, as it was in the country-side but not too distant from many different hot-spots. The nature was incredible (we were in a Masseria, but Castellana Grotte in general is named after the "Grotte" very unique and beautiful natural caves). The places nearby - both in the country-side and on the coast (Polignano a mare, Monopoli, etc)- were breath-taking and worth visiting. Overall a "strategic" location for our northern-Puglia travels!

The town is so pretty, lots of lovely buildings and great places to eat. The fresh food market was amazing and the locals so friendly and happy to help. The caves are amazing, well worth a visit. Alberrobello, a town of trulli houses is a short drive away, a must see. Landing in Bari airport, its a 40min drive to Castellana. We will definitely return!

I would recommend the owners to close the bathrooms since you will smell your neighbors... I believe they made a terrible mistake with that. the rest is very good. Room is spacious enough, bed is comfy, staff is nice, breakfast selection is good for a few days stay. The hotel is in the outskirt of Castellana, so it's not really practical to walk anywhere, but on the other side it offers a big parking lot for free. But in this area you'll anyway have a car and can get anywhere easily, so it's still a recommended place, if you get a good offer!GaborHungary

In this property you will feel the real sensation of being in a medieval town but in modern times. The host, Davide, was a really nice guy, ready to help for everything.
