My husband Tony and I were at first surprised that this ''agriturismo" was actually in a town, especially a small hill town as Ciciano turned out to be. But we could not have been happier for having chosen to stay here. The view out across the lush, green hills of southern Tuscany was lovely. The grounds in a small, very old olive grove with its pleasant outdoor eating area decorated with various implements from its early days as a mill and an olive press, only added to the ambiance. Eva, the owner, and Gabriel and all the staff were so friendly and helpful to us. The restaurant of locally sourced meat and produce, and dishes made from a number of Eva and her family's recipes, were always something to look forward to, both in the morning and especially in the evening when the menu changed every day. Our appealingly decorated modern room and bath were also surprises, because the outside of the cluster of old buildings still retains their original appearances. Parking, however, is on the street and there are steps to climb to reach the office area and at least some of the rooms. But it was a wonderful location with easy road access to virtually all the major hill towns in Tuscany.AnthonyUnited States of America
