We had a significant delay in our arrival due to our airplane issues. So we did not arrive at the hotel until 2 in the morning and there was a clerk there 24/7 to check us in. All of the staff was wonderful. The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was an amazing selection with breathtaking views.
Hotel Villa Diodoro features a hillside position and an outdoor pool with panoramic sea views, a 5-minute walk from the historical center of Taormina.

Old style hotel with great views over the sea and to Mt Etna, including from the breakfast/dining room. Close to the old town for easy access but just outside so it's quiet (okay, some wave sounds). Great terrace for afternoon coffee or apero. If you're looking for a modern hotel, this isn't your hotel. But if you're looking for old world charm, it fits the bill.

No food available for lunch. Had dinner there. Our orders were delivered less than 10 minutes after ordered and beautifully presented on the plate. Service was so fast the meals must have already been prepared and under a heat lamp for a while. Rabbit was dry.
Having the shuttle was a definite bonus. Easy access and parking at hotel.
Set on the east coast of Sicily, Garden Hotel is just 164 feet from the sandy beaches of Taormina. It features a lovely relaxing garden with tables, chairs and sun loungers.

From the wonderfully warm hosting of the staff and the chef to the lovely quiet garden setting, we absolutely loved our stay. We had such a lovely time and learned so much about the sicilian culture and food, we will be back no doubt! Grazie mille to our wonderful hosts! The beach ! The hotel has direct access to the beach and if you want to seat in front of the water you pay a small fee which was fine. The personnel at the front desk was nice and professional. The GM took very good care of us. There is a great restaurant near the hotel on the beach where we had lunch.
Hotel Ipanema overlooks the Bay of Mazzarò, and is a 2-minute walk from the cable car to Taormina's historic center. It offers a small car park free of charge.
