weekend. We got a lovely room at the top floor. It was really nice and spacious and daily cleaned with superb quality. Didn’t expected that. The hotel staff was nice, professional and helpful. We had hotel breakfasts during our stay. They were tasty with good choice of local products, sweets and Italian coffee served. I need to appreciate the deepest respect for the gentleman working in the restaurant during breakfasts. He was so kind, polite, and smiling that meeting him was a great start of each day. The town of Dobbiaco is great if you're planning on...
The town of Dobbiaco is great if you're planning on exploring the Dolomites. It may not be as central as Cortina d'Ampezzo, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper. Lot's of beautiful locations are still within about a 40 minute drive. Which is what we did. We didn't explore Dobbiaco itself that much. Only went there for eating out or groceries, usually at the end of the day after a long day of hiking.
The outside parts of the town feels rural, but the center has a lovely old church and reminds you this place has been around for quite some time. Rural or not, it still has plenty of places to eat out or shop for groceries.
One pub was quite nice and had two tables full of local farmers who got together, laughing and sipping wine, probably after a hard day's of work. As a tourist, I'd say there was a lovely relaxed, quiet vibe around town.

Dobbiaco village is nothing special and very touristic but with amazing surrounding. Perfect location for bike rides. If you are looking for a good local beer go to a small beergarten in Villabassa (few km from Dobbiaco).
I recommend a walk to Monte Piazza, amazing view ... .
Rent a bike and wherever you ride (there are countless cycles paths) you'll find wonderful landscapes.

The owners and staff are very friendly !!
It’s a great vacation with family or Romantic
Very friendly staff and owner. They welcomed us with a surprise food for our dog the day we came in. They also sell the dog food in case your dog runs out of food.
They clean your room everyday too.
The hotel is located near two towns that are very accessible when it comes to food and groceries.
It's close enough to Austria(less than 20 minutes drive.) if you want to visit the neighboring country.
Breakfast is a typical Italian breakfast.
It's near ski resorts and tourist spots like Lago di Braies and Tre Cime.
The couple taking care of the guesthouse is very helpful, they gave us very useful pieces of advice, breakfast was absolutely great, with so many healthy and tasty items, all sorts of seasonal fresh fruits, our room was perfectly cleaned every day. The location is wonderful, if you want to do hiking to Tre Cime, Lago di Braies, Lago di Sorapis. I would recommend it definitely. The Pizzeria Hans, which is next to the guesthouse is one of the best reastaurant in the area of Dobbiaco and San Candido, I think.
Our room was wonderful, with a gorgeous view on the mountains and the hotel's garden. We particularly appreciated having a roomy shower (sometimes hotels offer a tub instead, which can be a nuisance if all one wants to do is shower). The SPA was also excellent, with plenty of saunas to choose from, indoor and outdoor pools, and never too busy to relax properly. The staff was absolutely impeccable, always friendly and helpful, real kudos for that.
We had such a wonderful stay here :) It really exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the view from our room was INCREDIBLE. The hosts Mikaela and Toni were very sweet and accommodating. Location in Toblach/Dobbiaco was very convenient - very close proximity to major hikes/attractions and great restaurants. The view from Nigglerhof is seriously one of the best because of how high it's located.
This hotel was pleasant and just what we needed. The room was very clean and the breakfast was good (ham, cheese, bread, butter, jams etc), served by the owner. The location was good, within walking distance of several restaurants and 3 grocery stores. The town itself is small but cute, and well located to visit Lago di Braies and Tre Cime for example. The owner was very nice and helpful when we had questions or small requests.
One prt of the hotel has been absolutely stunningly renovated. The rooms are amazing as are the bathrooms/toilets.
The breakfast bar was very well stocked and you can order eggs which ever way you want.
Staff was super friendly.
We also booked the sauna ehich was very nice on a rainy day (small extra charge).
They also make sandwiches for you to take along on a hiking trip (small charge).
Incredible accommodation; The buffet breakfast had so much variety, the dinner menu was also great. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The spa was amazing, the location was perfectly situated for exploring the Dolomites, and lastly the view was unbeatable! I can't recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely stay again if we return to the area 🙂
Nice hotel with friendly staff, well renovated. It is well located near Braies lake, Landro lake and Dobbiago
The family room has a nice view.
The rooms are comfortable.
The dinner and breakfast were excellent, with local products and homemade cakes.
We recommend the place.
It had also a nice pool, small sauna and hammam.
I've be coming back to this hotel multiple times, as service and facilities are absolutely fantastic. Price wise is definitely worth the money.
Breakfast is fantastic.
Super friendly host.
I got a single room and it was super comfy with a breathtaking view from the little balcony.
Simply an amazing stay.
Great location - the hotel is close to both the bus and train stations, making it a good base to travel to other attractions in this region. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. The sauna room (which we had free access to) was an absolute plus. And the room is spacious.
Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Well maintained, clean hotel located a short drive from Dobbiaco's town centre, San Candido, Braies and several ski resorts. Very good breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast was incredible, lots of options that I really enjoyed. Staff are friendly, also love that it is dog friendly. Beds are comfy. The hotel was easy to access and get into at all times.
Well-managed hotel located close to the center of Dobbiaco. My room had a beautiful view. The breakfast was excellent. The owner personally manages the hotel and is very helpful.
The hotel is very well maintained, spotless!
- The room was nice and comfy, we were provided with a baby cot,
- good breakfast with a fresh squeezed juices;
- there is a parking
Location slightly remote, but hands down the nicest hotel experience. Dinner menu was fantastic. Room was clean, tidy and with everything you'd need for a brief stay.
