Torre del Lago was a lovely place to stay for a more rural, tranquil experience. We stayed here just one night to enjoy the birding and the lake, on our 7-day tour around the Gargano peninsula (by car). They have a free pedalo water boat and will take you out on the lake to see more of the area if you’d like. The breakfast was very nice. Hosts Anna, her daughter and husband were lovely, helpful and welcoming. We had great views of some very special birds we hoped to see in Puglia: the European bee-eater and the Hoopoe! As well as other special water birds. We loved being in this rural area and wished we stayed longer. The rooms were nice, with a large joint balcony looking over the water channel. Plenty of hot water for showering. Excellent internet. Very clean.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast provided was excellent. We were thrilled to have good parking space for our large car. The staff was especially helpful when we couldn’t make the AC work initially.
