The views are unparalleled at Due Mari. Even on a rainy day, the view is breathtaking. The staff was very friendly. The owner even opened up the restaurant to make me a snack when it was closed. We were also upgraded to a spacious suite since it was off-season.

Located off the highway near the university on the western outskirts of Catanzaro, this was a great place to either stop at overnight (what we did) or make home base for exploring the countryside around Catanzaro so long as you have a rental car. The room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom good and clean with provided soap and shampoo/bodywash, and the simple breakfast good. The Trattoria U Tammaru immediately next door has a gate which communicates with the San Michele property, and serves a great dinner.

Located in the heart of Catanzaro, B&B Porta di Mare features free Wi-Fi, classically furnished rooms and a sweet and savory breakfast. Both a private and a public beach are a 15-minute drive away.

I have only praise for this B&B. Both Zakia and Germano are exceptional people, expect to find a warm welcome by them. They both were extremely helpful when it came to getting advice, finding transport, and pretty much anything I needed to enjoy my stay. I can't thank them enough for their friendliness and enriching my time in Catanzaro. Zakia prepares breakfast every day and puts work and care into making delicious pastries for her guests. Rooms are kept perfectly clean, are comfortable and in great conditions. The ambiance of the B&B is cozy and relaxed. No doubt I would want to stay again here if I come back to town!
