The location is in the old town, which is undergoing gentrification, so there are some pretty run down buildings. However, it was a great location and the area is safe.

The Hotel had a very refined ambience. I believe it stands on an ancient site that was once used for the storage of grain during times of Siege. There were Museum quality artifacts everywhere and I don't think they were reproductions. My room was spacious and comfortable. I had two balconies one for each window. Very handy for my tendency to do some sink laundry and hang it out to dry. Good mini fridge with two bottles of water per day. Breakfast was pretty good and the cappuccini were delicious. It was very close to almost everything I wanted to see in the Centro Storico and elsewhere. They gave me a good restaurant recommendation. The front desk clerk when I checked in was especially impressive but the entire staff was good to great. Very good elevator. I didn't get to try the bar but it looked well appointed. The little lounge area in the foyer of the entrance was comfortable and well decorated.

We were given an upgrade to a very nice room with view of Taranto. Very comfortable bed. Excellent fresh food for breakfast and an amazing dinner.

AMAZING!! Taranto is a delicious city to spend time in, and this hotel has so much vibrational frequency its off the charts. Your surrounded by 3000 years of soul history. The neighborhood is abandoned ancient buildings that at first look dingey, but once you spend time there you'll see the flocks of starlings and you'll hear peace.
The room was perfect, gourmet bathroom and very big and comfy bed. There is a kitchen common area for cooking and making tea. Games and books line the walls.
The best part is the roof. I chilled there and rested my weary bones here for hours and watched both the sunrise and sunset. Epic. Karma. This is why I travel. To find these gems.
The owners are also very nice and warm and positive. Much appreciated 🙏 ☺️.
