Excellent value for money (especially compared with comparable hotels in the area at which we've also stayed). Staff very friendly and obliging; room both charming in atmosphere and well-equipped with hot tub, toilet room separate from shower, safe for valuables, plenty of storage space, and a pleasant view. Breakfast was generous and good quality. Proximity to the water transport to central Venice simply couldn't be better. We will certainly book here again on our next trip to Venice!

The staff were friendly. The bed is comfortable. Though the pillows are quite flat but you can ask for extra.
There is no bar at the hotel but my friends and I bought a bottle of wine and drank it on the terrace and they didn't mind.
The breakfast isn't massive. Yogert. Roll. Boiled egg. Croissant. Tea. Coffee. Some cheese and conserves. This was fine for me. I don't normally eat breakfast and don't need a cooked breakfast.
The towels are old fashioned cotton towels. Like the French beach towels. Not fluffy. But I found this nostalgic. The staff were tremendously kind.
It is an inexpensive hotel run by very kind people that look after me. I will stay there again. Location is excellent. 10 minutes walk from vaporetta station that takes you to Venice.

Spanning 11 kilometres between the Adriatic Sea and one of the most famous lagoons in the world, Lido is a narrow and long island located just in front of Venice’s Old Town. Beach resorts, hotels and private villas replaced the vegetable gardens 160 years ago that provided tranquil settings for poets and writers like Lord Byron and Thomas Mann.
Probably one of the first beach resorts in the world, its first facility opened in 1857 and soon became a success. Nowadays, it constitutes a peaceful suburb that claims its golden past once a year during the Film Festival, and offers a quieter setting for your accommodation than central Venice.
There are actually three different villages on the island. Lido itself is located in the north, and includes most of the hotels and the Venice Casino. The smaller Malamocco and Alberoni are situated to the centre and south respectively. The sea-facing side of Lido Island is a succession of sandy beaches, mostly belonging to different resorts and hotels.
Gran Viale Santa Maria Elisabetta is the island’s main street, leading from the ‘vaporetto’ water bus pier to the sea. There are buses running on the island, while direct waterbus links to Venice Marco Polo Airport are also available.

Lido was recommended to me by a friend who goes every year.
Lido was recommended to me by a friend who goes every year. She'd stayed in lots of areas. Great choice ! The island was quieter, cleaner, cheaper and not so busy. It was lovely to walk around, trees, flora and fauna, churches , lots of shops and restaurants. Short stroll to a beautiful beach. Amazing sunsets, with all those views. Picture perfect. We used a three day vaporetta pass to get around. We were two stops away from main part of Venice, where we got off to explore. Four stops to San Marco, quick and easy. Longer trips to Murano, which was worth a visit...free to get into the glass factory on a Wednesday and the airport was a 45 minute ride, but easily done.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The space was quaint and perfectly located away from the crazy busy hub that is Venice. It was a 5 minute walk to the laundromat, where you could have a drink nearby at a bar while you waited. Another 5 minute walk and you were at the beach. Lots of eateries, shops, bars and way less people.

Very close to the buzzing city of Venice (only minutes by Vaporetto) but away from all the noise and crowded streets. Perfect place to relax in the evening. Very nice restaurants, B&Bs and even a beach where you can sunbath and swim. We used to stay in Venice but now we always stay here.

Feels like a typical Italian village, but it's only a ten minute boat ride to piazza San Marco. It's quiet, but elegant. The bars and restaurants I tried - on the main boulevard and along the canal - were excellent.

I didn't go to the beach, I went to a ceremony in the Palazzo del cinema. Lido is a quiet place with beautiful houses and a beach. You can see the sunset from the water front and Venice which was very pretty. I heard that it's quite dead in winter time, but end of September was perfect, quiet but still lively.
The position of the hotel is wonderful. On a very quite island with a lot of local restaurants and bars - both luxurious and inexpensive. Safe heaven from loud Venice. 5 min walking to a private beach, 15 min to a public beach. Easy commute on buses to reach water tram or local supermarket. 15 min takes with a river tram to reach Venice. Staff is very pleasant, careful and considerate. Cosy breakfast in small canteen had been always the best way to start a day.
I have stayed at this hotel several times as it is a lovely little hotel in a very quiet area but only a short walk to the vaporetto stop, restaurants, bars, shops and the great long beach, the island of lido is stunning, the whole hotel is always very clean and relaxing with very friendly staff, the breakfast is very good with plenty of choice and my room was comfortable.
The location of the hotel on the Lido is ideal; it's just a few steps from the boat and bus stops, the beach and the main drag with all the shops and the restaurants. Edoardo who runs the place is very friendly, responsive and helpful. My room was small however it had everything I needed, including a fridge and hairdryer, and best of all it was peaceful and quiet.
Hotel desk clerk, less than friendly, smug attitude. Loud bar music and rowdy crowd directly across the street from my room window. Made complaint to night desk clerk but without immediate success. Police called at 11pm. to silence excessive loud music. Scheduled to stay 7 nights, I checked out the second day. Manager refused partial refund.
- The hotel is located on a quiet street, so a peaceful night of sleep is guaranteed, yet only a short walk from restaurants and bars.
- Every single one of the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive.
- Close to the beach. Also there bicycles available for rental (I borrowed one on a slow day, staff let me have it for free)
The room was clean and nice, very comfortable and good modern bathroom as well. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. And we were extremely pleased with the breakfast offer and restaurant, very good fresh fish/seafood selection and delicious cooking. Altogether a very good hotel and close to both beach and Vaporetto station.
The hotel itself is a nice stay. It's a nice location if you're planning on staying in Lido, and the room itself doesn't feel small and was regularly cleaned and re-stocked, which was greatly appreciated. This place would be nice to stay in in the summer as it is right by the beach.
Quaint hotel right at the port side of Lido, where you can take a ferry to any of Venice's islands. Rooms are nice, though a bit on the smaller side, staff is friendly. Close to the main street of Lido where all the restaurants and shops are located. 15min walk from the beach area.
This is our second stay at Villa Edera. We love staying on the Lido and this Hotel is close to everything!
Staff is excellent! We loved our large balcony off the room. Great breakfast in the morning too starting at 7:30.
Highly recommend!
small boutique hotel great location 5 minutes walk to Lido centre/beach and main water bus stop. friendly welcoming staff. quiet room. comfy bed. good continental breakfast. outside facilities looked great but not used due to rain.
From when we stepped into the hotel, front desk superb, room superb, breakfast fabulous, they have bike rental we used and had the best time riding all over the island. The swimming pool top notch, we could of stayed another week.
This is a wonderful hotel full of charme and history. Difficult to beat. Wonderful receptionist. Very polite staff. 2nd best hotel arrival in the world. Most beautiful beach huts as in the beginning of 20th century.
I loved that it was a short walk from the Lido Boat dock to the hotel. And the bed was really comfortable. We stayed in 3 star hotels our entire trip in Italy. This hotel had the most comfortable bed.
Nice, comfortable hotel in a good location with its own parking space. Close to the vaporetto station and the beach. The staff is very kind and helpful. Good breakfast, excellent coffee.
The location was great only just over 10 minute walk to the Water Bus and less than 5 minutes to a wonderful beach. Hotel despite its age was very clean and well maintained.
Loved being on the island, away from the bustle of crowded Venice. The hotel is cute and charming. The room is more traditional, with a nice modern bathroom.
