Muraggio is a picturesque village with plenty of sight-seeing opportunities, narrow car free streets and an abundance of restaurants and take-away pizzeria's. It is just 5 mins drive to the beaches and close to other beautiful towns and villages. Set in the centre of vinyard plantations that go to produce the excellent local Primitivo di Manduria wine.JohnCyprus

If you suffer from mosquitoes get all the protection you can cause there are lots of them . Breakfast was not available because of covid so might be available at some point in the future. The host Sonia is a very lovely lady same as her mom.

He even drove us from Taranto (for a reasonable price) to the apartment when we informed him that we had problems with the bus transportation. He even borrowed us a parasol for the beach, which is within few minutes walking to the apartment. The house is very well equipped and the airco is not bothering at all. If you want to cook, there is a quite well supplied shop for about 10 minutes walking (Supermercato La Contessa).

Swimming pool is very large and breakfast takes place on the 4th floor with panaramic views over the surrounding area. This was probably once a truely grand hotel by the look of the marble floors and stairways and the large reception areas. Today, it is looking a little less grand but still repesents good value for money. We were able to check-in early which also gave us an extra afternoon down at the beach.

The apartment is spacious, as is the terrace where you can have a perfect breakfast (that you make yourself). You can also use a big part of the garden full of oleander. As a local, born there, he knows alle the best places and is more than happy to tell you all about his land and town. We had a wonderfull time and will definitly be coming back one day. If you visit Puglia you have to stay here!
