I had the most delightful stay at Cipresso Toscano in Mercatale val di Pesa! This charming apartment, located in the heart of the scenic Chianti region, provided the perfect Tuscan countryside experience while still being just a short 20-minute drive from the center of Florence. The apartment itself was a cozy and inviting space. The large kitchen with a traditional fireplace added a touch of rustic charm, and the brand new appliances and high-speed fiber internet made it modern and convenient. The best part was that Netflix was included, so I could unwind and enjoy some shows after a day of exploring. One of my favorite features was the south-west facing terrace, where I could soak up the sun during breakfasts and lunches. The apartment was well-equipped and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The living room's leather sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the master bedroom was spacious with a cozy mattress and topper. The bathroom had a shower and a washing machine, which was convenient for longer stays. Speaking of which, for stays over 5 days, they offered a voucher for purchasing local products - a thoughtful gesture that allowed me to experience the authentic flavors of Chianti. Getting around was easy as the apartment was accessible by both car and public transport. The nearby bus stop made it convenient for exploring the area without a vehicle. Mercatale val di Pesa itself was a gem in Chianti, maintaining its authenticity with friendly locals and shops offering genuine products at local prices. The local butcher and baker were particularly outstanding, providing some of the best meats, cheeses, and sourdough bread I've tasted. Overall, my stay at Cipresso Toscano was nothing short of amazing. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in the Tuscan countryside, with the added convenience of being close to Florence, I highly recommend this place. I'm already planning my next visit to this wonderful oasis!

Beautiful grounds! Location convenient to several wineries. Delicious restaurant that accommodated our large party with children. Breakfast was great!

The property is beautiful in all directions. Situated on a hill behind a gate. Lovely gardens. Great staff. Spacious room with wonderful large bathroom.

Beautiful area

This accommodation is a beautiful home with luxurious, unique rooms. There are expansive grounds, well appointed rooms, welcoming common areas to sit. The rain shower is lovely and the coffee maker and tea kettle in the room was a bonus. Staff is very kind and helpful for any recommendations for local attractions (winery visits) or to assist with dinner reservations. Breakfast has something for everyone!

The location and the owners are fabulous! They are so wonderful and friendly to us, we love coming back every year!!

The breakfast buffet was very good and you were able to get eggs from the kitchen. The view from the dining area was amazing. The villa and staff are amazing! The only thing I would recommend is to rent a car in Florence and drive, there isn’t any other transportation unless you use a car service.

It was a reasonably priced place, with the ability to visit Florence, Siena and San Gimignano easily. While the garage was a little difficult to use, since cars had to be in by evening, there was free parking very close by. Breakfast was good. The staff was helpful.

The young woman who checked us in was lovely and very helpful.
