Very nice staff, perfectly clean hotel and rooms, our room had air conditioning (which was absolutely required), one cup of italian coffee/capucchino is included in the breakfast, the breakfast contains diverse offerings (bread, yogurt, sausage, marmelade, etc.), enough free parking lots are available on-site.

Muggia is a small coastal town near Trieste...and it is a very happening town that comes alive at night...where families come together at the central square for ice creams and some good food...I really liked the entire vibe of this town it's very clean and quiet and extremely relaxing...the restaurant has fresh seafood options if you're into seafood and amazing wines and a really good seafront to walk around. i really liked it...calm and relaxing place.

We liked Muggia.
We liked Muggia. It is small and easy to navigate the old town. The main Piazza has several bars and cafes, friendly and welcoming for a drink or a meal, and fun for people watching. There are more cafes and bars towards the waterfront. Just stroll around and enjoy the relative tranquility. We arrived in Trieste by train, taxi to Muggia was around 35 euros. We took a day trip back to Trieste by ferry (fun in itself), and did lots of walking from Muggia. It's a nice respite from the tourist circuit, and so pretty with stone buildings and small alleyways, plus the castle (exterior) and Duomo to enjoy. Muggia Vecchio, up on the hill behind, was well worth the walk.

Nerio was extremely hospitable and upon our arrival had fresh fruit, drinks and snacks waiting for us which was much appreciated. In additional he gave us fresh figs from his tree daily. The distance to the center of town is walkable however there is a rather steep hill that may be challenging for some. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Muggia.

The apartment is compact but very comfortable and has everything you need. Alice was a very kind and helpful host. I would recommend this apartment for a couple or friends who want to explore Muggia for a few days.

The coffee for the breakfast is excellent too! The bus station is right in front of the hotel, and the bus no. 20 to Trieste city center runs surprisingly often.
