Genarro, was very accommodating and attentive. We arrived late at the train station and had trouble with google maps locating his place. He met us at the train station and we were able to walk to his place. Great location and quiet.

We loved the view out over their working farm with the sea below. The breakfast made from food from their farm was one the best on our trip.

The view is Excellent. Hotel is right in front of Sea.
It was a great place to stay for us. Quieter than Sorrento, with really good local restaurants and great access to bus and train.
The wider area was very busy at the time of our stay and I’d avoid early-mid September in future.
But Piano is a great place to stay for visiting other parts of Sorrento peninsula.

The public beach is one of the better ones on the peninsula...
The public beach is one of the better ones on the peninsula and not as croweded as the ones in Meta or in Sorrent, but lacks most facilities (no public showers, like in Spain or Portugal), yet offer impressive views. The Lido(Bagnia Tina) is also good, except for the loud music. Sadly, but typical fo the region, the city is not very walkable, due to the lack of pedestrian paths, except for the main alles connecting the train Station with the beach.
Ideal point if you want a beautiful landscape(Lemon plantations!) and affordable Restaurants(compared to Sorrent ~20 percent less, although there is not that much variety in Piano itself , mostly Pizza places)
Piano is a convenient location for day trips to Capri(Laser Capri offers great prices down in the harbour of Piano), the Amalfi coast and Pompeji&Herculaneum. The Airport is easily reached with the Cuerri Viaggio Transfer Service (extremly cheap but comfortable).
There are two super markets close to the shore and a small "strip mall" close to the train station&Corso Italiano and a pharmacy.

Piano do Sorento Is a small town just outside of Sorrento (...
Piano do Sorento Is a small town just outside of Sorrento (20 mins away by train). Piano di Sorento is accessible by train from Naples. The beach is a short walk from the main town and is accessible by a lift at certain times of the day for a small fee, or walking via a large steep road. There is a selection of restaurants and bars in the town which the local residents frequent and we enjoyed delicious food and wine here too, in particular the restaurant Osteria Palazzo Maresca, where the food and service was outstanding. Not all the people here are friendly and do not appear to like foreigners so be aware of this. Also the roads are busy and drivers of cars and scooters will not stop for you even at designated a crossings. It is helpful to learn some Italian words and phrases as not all the local people will speak basic English if any at all. I would recommend visiting the next town of Sant’Agnello as it is very beautiful and peaceful.

It really is the quieter option of the Amalfi coast and just as lovely as it's more touristy cousins. There is a great market on Mondays selling fruit and vegetables, olives and cheeses and breads to all sorts of clothing, shoes and house hold goods.
There are also a couple of beaches and waterside restaurants. Few were open on the Monday but the one we found in town was just perfect.
St Michael the archangel basilica was also very beautiful and had really interesting doors. The villa that is now a museum was also a nice place to go for an evening stroll overlooking the Marina and sea.

It was a lovely little area but be prepared for a lot of walking or using the local train to get to Sorrento town or other nearby places. Favorite restaurants were L'Approdo, Osteria Estoria, and Fracatell.

Rachele’s home was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. She provides an excellent service and the location is perfect if you’re planning a trip to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. When you get back from your day trips, the small town of Piano di Sorrento has its own charms as well including restaurants and cafes/gelato places. Every time we got back to our room at Casa Rachele, everything was super clean and it truly felt like a home away from home. Rachele will go out of her way to make sure you’re happy and comfortable.
+ The apartment is close to the center of Piano di Sorrento and about 10 min of walk from the train station.
+ The host was very welcoming. She took us with the car from the train station and gifted us some fresh lemons from the garden. Irene helped us with any question we had.
+ The apartment was very clean and cozy. It was actually better than the photos.
+ The kitchen had every thing you need.
+ The rooftop of the building has a beautiful panorama of the sea.
+ I would definitely stay here again
LOVED our stay! The staff was excellent, the breakfast was excellent , the view was above and beyond, our Rm 109 was great with a private balcony with AMAZING views! The location was GREAT! Close to train, walk to the lift to the beach, Monday Market in the street, excellent restaurants all looking at the amazing view, and the food was all amazing!!! I would definitely stay here in Piano Di Sorrento! Only 8” train to Sorrento!
The room No.2 has a balcony with fish port view. When we arrive it was the sunset hours so stunning! And there’s a beach right next to the hotel, also ferry to Capri. I can imagine if walking to the hotel could be a bit far from public transport specially with luggage, but we rent a Vespa make our stay 100% perfect! Even have scooter parking right in front of our room! Can’t ask anything more! We love it so much!
Breakfast was simple but tasty. Mirella was a very genial host, willing to answer questions and offer information. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk to the station (and only 2 stops from Sorrento). Piano di Sorrento is less “touristy” than Sorrento and has some good local restaurants. Try the fish store across the street where you can choose your fish and have it grilled for you.
Rita was very welcoming and accommodating and on hand to answer any questions, give good recommendations or organise any tours you wish (which were all excellent). The room was newly renovated and very comfortable. You are in the centre of town which is a great jumping off point to the shops, restaurants and train station located nearby. A good balcony view to watch the world pass by.
Such a nice place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff - Emilia is very kind and helpful. She provided us with a detailed map of the area and marked down transit spots. She was very responsive over Whatsapp and over booking.com.
Conveniently placed next to a store/market with good hours. Close to transit. There is also a restaurant built into the hotel/apartments.
Francesco was exceptional!! he helped us with information around sorrento and got us all comfortable in our room!! answered all our questions and was so professional and helpful! excellent customer service
all the staff was really nice too
the breakfast was great fresh croissants and coffee n fruit n nice lady
clean and modern hotel! would come back
It was extremely clean, the team responded promptly to a few queries we had during our stay, Pasquel greeted us at the property and gave us great travel tips. Location was beautiful at the marina and right beside the lift to the top of the cliff face which is beside the property. Train station close by and also right beside restaurants and boat tours
family owned villa. Salvatore was an amazing host who always went the extra mile to help us, when needed. it is also impossible not to speak about the lovely breakfast in the morning. the location is 5-7 drive from old sorte to - where all hotels and over crowded streets are, it’s actually a really good location to be at.
You can get her by bus from Piano di Sorrento or walking for 30-45 minutes.
Very good breakfast, also for vegetarians. The view it is amazing. It is a quite place. From here you can go to Positano -Amalfi with the bus ( 10 minutes of walk to the station). There are few markets and restaurants where you can eat.
The rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Perfect location for a slightly quieter tourist spot. Only a few minutes walk to the train station. There's plenty of food places nearby and a supermarket just around the corner Absolutely loved it here and would definitely stay again.
Small family hotel with nice and very clean rooms. Nice garden with sitting area, parking on site. In the middle between Sorrento and Positano - 15-20 minutes driving to each of them. Very close there are some restaurants and bars. Monica is great host, kind and helpful
We had a wonderful long weekend in Piano DI Sorrento. From checking in with a greeting from the friendliest pups and a fresh lemonade to breakfast each morning on the patio, everything was wonderful! the rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Quiet location but near enough to walk to a few local restaurants and had good transport links into Sorrento via train (just 2 stops) and then bus services to Positano & Amalfi.
Excellent location. Quite.lifts to the sea.near supermarket. Stunning view.no transportation you have to walk alot. Most of breakfast is sweet things no eggs or sausage
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, that made all the difference. Beatiful ocean views from the breakfast/bar, and close to the beach and ferrys to i.e. Capri.
