The Borgo Pignano was absolutely beautiful and even better than what we read and heard from our friends past travels to Tuscany. The location nestled near olive groves, vineyards and woods of the region were spectacular as we travelled through the region. The skilled- staff were amazing and truly cared about each and every guest, like family. The restaurants, out-door bar with breath taking sunsets truly elevated our stay. Perfect rural location for 10 minute drive to the more touristy but worthwhile San Gimignano or the less touristy but historical and beautiful Volterra. Pretty much everywhere else in Tuscany within easy drive for day trips.

The hotel is an experience itself, we loved finding out how the food we ate in the restaurant was grown by Kirsten. Gigi went the extra mile by showing us round. The pool was lovely to spend so many hours by drinking in the view. Our cookery experience was the perfect way to end our stay and the sommelier gave us a great wine tasting with the perfect view and accompanying food.
