The albergo's location and history were wonderful, as was its cleanliness. It is a period piece that easily accommodates today's traveler (though there is understandably no elevator). What we greatly appreciated the most, however, were the courtesy and hospitality of the owner: a gracious and helpful sculptor and art teacher whose family has owned the property for generations.

Hotel Panoramico adults only offers views of Lake Orta in the distance. It is a family-run property in Madonna del Sasso set in the Boleto area near the sanctuary.

We rented two small apartments. The apartments were very clean and well supplied. Got a nice breakfasts - we stayed for three days, got three different selections. The location is as "center" as it gets in Varallo.
