A nice small hotel right next to the ski lifts. You only need five minutes on foot to reach the lifts. The hotel is beautiful with vintage decoration. It has a nice coffee and restaurant on the ground floor, which is also a plus. The receptionist, Mariano, is so nice and welcoming and also the girl in the bar is very kind. Overall a good stay
At an altitude of 8.5 feet, La Tana della Volpe is the highest hotel in the Western Alps, outside Sestriere center. It offers rooms with mountain views and is next to the Turin Olympics ski slopes.

It was an amazing experience. We did not realize that we could not go up with the car (you need 4x4 SUV/Jeep). we got picked up by the owner. Enjoyed the amazing views the way up. Once at the refuge you have a great view from the restaurant over Sestriere. The room was fabulous. The food great. Local products. So happy we got to this nice place and meet nice people.
