An old-school Italian hotel, took me back to the childhood. The room decor a bit dated, but everything was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. Great location. The breakfast was fantastic and definitely something that makes you forget about the dated rooms. Good value for an area with a lot of tourists at any time of the year.

Salo is a lovely town on the shore of Lake Garda, from which there is an excellent ferry service allowing access to most towns around the lake while an occasional service takes visitors to the private but beautiful Isola di Garda. The promenade is extremely pleasant on which well-dressed local people stroll. It is fringed with a range of restaurants to reflect all tastes and pockets. Narrow streets and alleyways and pleasant squares link the promenade to the town itself, which has a wide range of retail opportunities, an excellent museum, cathedral and other attractions that make it an interesting place to while away a day. Many people say that it is quieter than more 'touristy' resorts on the lake, and that suited us well. Of course the views across the lake to the distant show-topped Monte Baldo (accessible by cable car from Malcacene) are stunning, and the mood changes often depending on the weather. A decent sunset illuminates the mountain tops, often wreathed in cloud, in a stunning display of colour. A perfect place.

This property has everything a family could want, it’s on the 3rd floor but there’s a lift available if needed, it’s a stones throw from waterfront with plenty of restaurants to choose, there’s a mini supermarket 5min walk and bus stop is 10 min walk, only downside there’s no air con, would stay again.

Ideal location close to the lake and restaurants. 3 bedroom Apartment was very clean and facilities were in good working conditions. Parking ticket was given for a close parking lot.
The only thing to take note is that wifi was not very great and sometimes experienced poor internet connect, but it is not a deal breaker as we did not stay much in during the day. but this is something that can be easily improved.

It’s a very pretty lakeside resort with the most beautiful rustic buildings to discover via the narrow cobbled streets . Good selection of shops from designer clothing to tiny authentic coffee shops , deli , souvenirs and a pharmacy .
Excellent range of restaurants offering great value and local dishes typical of the area . Very friendly locals . Lots of areas alongside lake to sunbathe albeit on pebbles so take some thick soled diving shoes if you want to have a swim in the lake as you will find these pebbles tricky otherwise .
Lots of facilities for wheelchair users .
There is only the central car park which allows overnight parking all other parking areas are restricted to 8/9pm but a space can usually be had unless a specific event is on . Summer months will give you the opportunity to experience wonderful music events .
Boat trips are available to take you to other resorts around the lake but these are very basic ferries and journeys can be long .
Few English tourists mainly German /Austrian who do seem to take over restaurants /sun beds etc but it’s lovely to be amongst the locals and shop/ restaurant and bar staff are very efficient friendly and helpful .

It is a pleasant town, which is a bit touristy.
It is a pleasant town, which is a bit touristy. But you can find small oases where the local kitchen prepares magical food. The lake is lovely to swim in. You can quickly get to know Saló, but there are so many other excursion destinations that you can supplement your holiday with.

Having visited some of the other towns located on Lake Garda...
Having visited some of the other towns located on Lake Garda, Salo felt quiet & offered a reprieve to some of the other busier areas. There are enough restaurants & shops to keep entertained, with the lakeside areas being a great place to sit back & admire the scenic views.
Bardolino is 30 minutes and Sirmione is about 1 hour from Salo by ferry.
I still can`t imagine that I`ve found so wonderful place as Lake Garda Hostel. Accommodation is clean and fresh, additional features as air-condition, flat TV-Set and big bathroom is game changer. Fresh and tasty breakfast with cup of coffee served by smiling hotel staff eaten on hotel terrace is perfect time to finalize discussion about plans for upcoming day. Hotel is located 5-7 minutes by walk from two supermarkts with Italian specialties and 5-7 minutes from Salo promenade.
Exceptionally nice hosts, very helpful with any requests (baby bed, early check-in, etc.), Super clean, includes coffee maker, washing machine and a full kitchen.
Super cute location in a small village just outside of Salo.
Would highly recommend to anybody and will definitely come back myself as well!
The staff at this hotel was EXCEPTIONAL. They provided excellent service and support in a friendly and very personal way. In fact they functioned as an A-1 travel agency, always there to help and suggest best option in exploring beautiful Lake Garda, Verona and Brescia.

Everything was great including a well equipped kitchen.

Staff were kind and attentive
We were leaving for an early flight home before the Breakfast opened - the reception staff made up a lovely breakfast picnic for us
This is a charming, family run hotel right in the middle of Salou and a short walk to ferries and bus station. The owner is very capable and runs everywhere. The breakfast was well above average. We really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful location indeed very special. Amazing view over lake Garda. Hammocks in the gardens, very quiet. 10 min drive to beach and Salo. Very much recommend this place. Owner very kind and helpful also.
Hotel staff were super helpful the whole stay. Breakfast was included and on the last morning they opened early so that we could get some breakfast before we left for the airport in Milano.
Great location and beautiful apartment. Complimentary sparking wine and fruit platter on arrival. Lakeside apartment with paryand easy walk into Salo. Couldn't ask for more.
