David Sofrà - my second visit to Santa Margherita.
David Sofrà - my second visit to Santa Margherita. The town hasn’t changed in 16 years, it is one of my favourite places to stay and base myself from. Hotel Continental is my recommended hotel for an amazing old world experience. Eat dinner at the Continental also. Catch a ferry to Portfino and Cinque Terre

We enjoyed Santa Margherita Ligure very much.
We enjoyed Santa Margherita Ligure very much. It was a delightful town by the beach. There are lots of different places to eat. There is an absolutely delightful walk to Portofino along the coast. In the other direction there is also a lovely walk to Rapallo.

This city is a must visit.
This city is a must visit. The city itself has plenty to offer, from shops to an array of great seafood restaurants. Awesome waterfront and the perfect connection, in whichever way suits you, on foot, by bus or ferry, to Portofino...and we did try all three.

I would have rather stayed in Santa Margarita than in Cinque Terra. CT was nice but SM was larger, the feel was more holiday Mediterranean style, more restaurants, shops... a great base to stay and then take the train or ferries down to CT

I loved the area.
I loved the area. I would stay there and take day trips to Cinque Terre rather than staying there. Cinque Terre is very noisy. it’s less expensive to take the bus rather than the ferry to Portofino.because was a short ride. Even though we were a mile from town it was too long and uphill to walk back. Taxi rides are $30 each way. I wish we were closer to the strip. There were many shops and nice restaurants on the strip and in town. Beautiful place

The staff was nice, rooms standard size for italy but well organzied, clean and comfortable. The locations is awesome, the upper rooms with balconies are very great with beautiful views. If you have a car, you may find free parking on the street but they have a automatic underground car parking, its pretty cool and cost $20/night. The have a nice rooftop terrace, small with a cool dipping pool. Beach front loungers/umbreallas, breakfast great, outside seating. We had drinks outside. It was all great. Small elevators. :(
I love everything in this hotel, honestly should be 4* as it’s immaculate perfection. The room was spacious and with the balcony I had stunning comfort feeling of being home. I’m so happy to had experience this place and 5 minutes walk to Santa Margherita beach, no need for taxis as I made the mistake to take twice taxis as I didn’t knew I could walk. But was great staying and discover.
Boutique hotel with affordable price, everything is perfect,. We arrived early, staffs were trying their best to let us get into the room ASAP. Breakfast is way nicer than most of 4 star hotels. Great location, might be only 7-8 mins walk from train station. If I have chance to visit this area again, I will definitely choose this hotel one more time.
The best I can say about this hotel is that it is centrally located in Santa Margherita and the staff did give us a refund after one night on the remaining 3 nights-- but not after we had to envoke Amex disputes. Booking.com was absolutely useless in getting us a refund.
David Sofrà - best hotel I’ve stayed in on the Italian or French Riviera’s. It has old world charm and class, don’t bother eating dinner elsewhere in Santa Margherita, Rapallo, Camogli or Portfino. I did not want to leave and have already rebooked my stay.
The people at the hotel was excellent. They were very helpful and friendly, we feel very welcome.
The location of the property is next to the best and cleanest beach in Santa Margherita/Portofino. You can walk or take bus pretty much everywhere
Beautiful hotel right on the sea. Comfortable rooms with high ceilings and clean sheets. Breakfast was delicious, and the view spectacular. Very easy to reach via train, and within walking distance of all there is to do. Great value.
Very nice location. Hotel is very well equipped and looked after. Room was very appealing, well lit and clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb ! Definitely the place to stay when in Santa Margherita.
Perfect location and value for money for the area. Breakfast really good, all fresh and good quality, served with a smile. Very helpful staff, charming little hotel on the best beach. Good bathroom, spotlessly clean.
Great hotel in the Heart of Santa Margherita. Very Helpful And friendly staff! We arrived in the morning And they managed to accomodate Us much earlier than 2 pm. highly recommend to everyone.
This quaint hotel was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. The modern facilities are a nice welcome in Italy! Plus the breakfast was great. We’d definitely stay here again.
I honestly did not like the hotel, and all the things in the room are old and poor, and the rooms are very small compared to the pictures, which look like a luxury hotel
