Breakfast was good for people who loves sweets and pastries ( Italian style) . They offered us “American breakfast” ( eggs, beicon etc ) however was only available after 9am. Food and service was very good.
Important to know that this hotel does not have private beach “ lido” . They do recommend a private beach very near by and they offered a shuttle to the beach complimentary, however you have pay €25 extra for one umbrella and 2 beach chairs. The service and food at the Lido was very nice.
Enjoy the view from your private balcony at Hotel Paradiso. It is set directly on the beach in the heart of Cilento National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I came down here to ride my bike for a few days and relax, and everyone was very nice and treated me like family. I would go again.

A resort but also a real Italian town all the more noticeable in early October with smaller number of visitors. The old village of Castellabate with amazing labyrinth of alleyways and views is a must visit. We recommend the 3 hour walk around the coast to Ogliastro and bus return…superb views and swim in deserted rocky cove at lunchtime.

Typical Cilento town with clear waters, small marina, historic buildings, church, good restaurants, long walking "lungomare", restaurants on the beach. The Borgo of Castellabate on the hill is spectacular, is considered one of the most beautiful "borgo"s of Italy and offers fantastic views over the coast and the interior. Very friendly and welcoming people.

Castellabate is a quaint small town.
Castellabate is a quaint small town. Seems very quiet but so beautiful. I would have preferred to stay a couple more days to really be able to get a better feel for southern Italy.
The Hotel was actually remarkable for the price. We were upgraded because it was not peak season in late October.

Good fish restaurants along the sea front.
Good fish restaurants along the sea front. We particularly liked La Scogliera in the quieter area furthest away from the main beach. Also Ristorante I due Fratelli which was more upmarket but a very short walk from Residence Serrone.
A good base to explore the coast and the mountains.

Nina was a lovely host and really helpful. Bella and Dumbo (the dogs) are the cutest things on earth! The apartment has everything you need, with thoughtful touches such as a beach bag with mats. We appreciated that the water is heated by solar panels. We enjoyed the welcome fruit bowl, including home-grown oranges and lemons. We loved our stay!
The whole place is very clean and very well looked after. The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. The location is beautiful but a bit away from the town below. I walked to the beach every day but the access is down/up a very steep road which was fine for me but it might not suit all. Id love to go back!
Very nice location overlooking the Castellabate town (ca 1km below) and sea shore. Was very nice waking up in the morning, stepping to the balcony and seeing the pine trees and the blue sea below. Very friendly staff at breakfast. Hotel seems to be freshly renovated and is well maintained.
Great location, only 10 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the nearest supermarket. The host was very friendly, although she didn't speak English, we managed to communicate just fine. Lovely spacious apartment, with basic kitchen, fridge, air conditioning and washing machine.
Great location in the main street and really close to beach and restaurants. Extremely helpful and friendly staff- we had diffculty using washer machine and garage door and both times they came quickly to help us. Room had besutiful private balcony
The hosts were so lovely. The house has been in the family and they’ll tell you all about it. plus there are cute ducks on sight, great group hangout areas in the gardens and close to everything, the beach, food and grocery. Everything was perfect!
Host was very helpful, location of apartment was very good, quiet location and sea view. Santa Maria di Castellabate is a very nice town with beatiful beaches, good food and sunset view. It can be recomended.
Lovely quiet hotel with very friendly staff. Very private attic balcony with sea view. Located right on the beach. Short beach walk to two local villages.
