Public transportation, including ferry to Corsica was a good experience. Good variety of restaurants, shops, cafes.. however if visiting during "off season" be flexible as not all of the regular facilities are open. We absolutely loved Santa Teresa Di Gallura. It is such a charming town with the most beautiful people and amazing food. I didn't find there was much to see/do, some restaurants/shops were close to the hotel. For me this was a stop over to wait out the ferry that did not sail to Corsica, my actual destination, due to the cyclone. This would not be a location I would return to, except if I was getting the ferry again..

About an hour's transfer from Olbia Airport, Santa Teresa is a beautiful little seaside town. Ideal for anyone who loves sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling and/or paddleboarding. You can take boat trips around the smaller islands and the ferry to Corsica, provided there are no high winds! They are a couple of small archaeological sites to visit but other than that there isn't much to do but enjoy the sun, sea, food and gelato. We spent 8 nights here but I would've easily added another week of possible.ConniUnited Kingdom

Communication with Simone, the host, was excellent. He even offered to bring us around town for a tour and gave us information on how to go to Palau and buy tickets to the ferry. He is such a nice, helpful and happy person. Check-in was a breeze as well as check-out. We found street parking just in front of the property. While you have to pay extra for parking, getting a space in Santa Teresa Gallura is a nightmare, and you need to pay for most parking close to the beach anyway.
