The hotel was located walking distance from the train station which was very helpful for us. The receptionist who greeted us was very nice and the hotel decor was also nice. The breakfast was somewhat limited, but what we had was good.

We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town. The cathedral was beautiful and open to view inside. The entire town is walkable, no need to hire a car. There was a variety of places to eat and drink. The location of the train station made it easy to come and go.

Tirano is a very nice town.
Tirano is a very nice town. It is very well connected with other parts of Italy by train. Also, the main attraction is the Bernina Express, which departs hourly from the Swiss Train Station, which is opposite the TrenItalia train station. What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river.
What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river. Fascinating buildings and great food ( had a great pizza at LETI DI PILONI AXEL by the station. Only stayed overnight after coming from Chur on the Bernina line then on to Rome but could easily have spent a week here. Everything walkable.

Lovely town in the valley, surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains. The old town is great and the connection to the Rhaetian Railway and the beautiful Bernina line are not to be missed! We went there to take the Bernina Express to St. Moritz and back. It was a beautiful experience. We stayed at Ostello del Castello and had three wonderful nights at one of the most kindness hosts Andrea we have ever meet, really nice ;-)IbDenmark

Allesandro waited for us on the station, showed us everything, gave a lot of very useful tips, very good comunication and contact via phone. We arrived late but with the hosts we could discuss how to enter the room and he even sent a lot of photos explaining the way. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was very very very comfortable. Rooms only a few steps from the train station. It was very clean. After our journey we returned their restaurant for dinner and it was also excellent. Staff was super friendly. Convenient parking nearby.
